Acoll, those are well framed, sharp shots of diverse pijuns.....the benefit of the 1DX + 200-400L shows.

Unfortunately, the bird soon flew into a canopied section of the area, and then I've lost control over just about everything photographically: mostly exposure was off by at least one and a half stops (the shooting was done in manual exposure mode), and the background was so intrusive/busy that only 300/400 f/2.8 wide open would have saved the day. Clearly, having the right FL of 300mm is not everything.
Here's such fairly extensively photoshopped shot for illustration: the lens as well as the camera did their job fine, it is the operator who hasn't adjusted camera settings to the change in environmental conditions.
