I don\'t own one yet, but got a chance to play with one for several days a couple of years ago.
What I was taught to do was to meter the subject lighting, and then set the HiLite to 1.5 - 2 stops brighter.
If you\'re getting too much wrap at your subject-to-background, though, your only solution may be to use a lower EV and then clean it up in post-processing.
