But the guy asking for $200 off for a front element hairline scratch is just seeing if he can get a deal. We discount them $75 for a nonvisible (in photos), nonflaring scratch and people can\'t wait to get them.

How does one know when the front lens element is a simple \"pop in\" and when alignment adjustment by screws or shims is required?
In your experience, does the Canon Parts telephone staffing have the ability to lookup the proper part number based on the lens name?
