Resuming the Pompeii 2nd day shots, a mosaic at a house\'s entrance floor:
6 stitched photos of a mosaic in the entrance (vestibule) floor of a house in Pompeii.
D7000 + Micro Nikkor 55mm f/3.5, ISO 320, f/8 at 1/1600s.
The collar and tongue have a fading but still visible reddish colour.
Very cool mosaic! It\'s amazing that ANYTHING survived that eruption.

Thank you Tony!
Two more mosaics to you:
Mosaic at Pompeii house entrance (2) by labecoaves, on Flickr
D7000 + Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 ais CPU\'d hand held through iron grid, ISO 800, f/8 at 1/200s.
It looks like a wrestling fight. ~20% cropped.
Mosaic at a Pompeii house entrance (4) by labecoaves, on Flickr
D7000 + Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 ais CPU\'d hand held through iron grid, ISO 250, f/8 at 1/800s.
It looks like a fish (?) being pursued by a mytical creature (1/2 dragon, 1/2 snake??). ~35% cropped.
This also need a washing of the floor to remove dirt.
