Did a similar test last year, the pics again:
one is in cam jpgs, the other 100% unsharpened RAWs:
7D is top, next is 5D2 then 5D3, then 7D repeated again at the bottom












I don\'t have the high ISO version up on the new host yet. For a bright contrasty subject as this (given a darker subject, with lower contrast, falling into a darker part of the overall image it may play out differently though!) the 7D still had a very noticeable reach advantage even ISO6400! Re-sized to 5D2/5D3 scale the 7D image still looked better than the 5D2 one as is always the case when reach limited since it had a trace less noise/moire/aliasing and a touch more detail and compared to the 5D3 well it still had a touch more detail and less moire/aliasing but it didn\'t look quite as clean.
