Thank you kindly, Kathy .......1DX still has some little irritating features for me, but overall it does work well, particularly the AF system and high ISO handling, probably very much like your 5DMkIII.

Here is one simple duckshot with fallish coloured background. In this case the perspective is very "level" with the duck because the camera/lens was lowered almost to the water level. That low perspective is a dominant strategy by "birders" to achieve the coveted N&W forum "look".

7D + 85L @ f/1.2........."blind" framing as well as auto AF pt.selection used.
60D (articulated display) would help with shots of this type.
