SMC Pentax 200mm f/2.5 K-mount.

It's seen a lot of use. Awesome bag wear. The glass is near-Mint. There's almost no dust at all. It's clean and clear as a bell. $198 US, with free shipping. Lens$db shows: $340 [E/E+] to $510 [M-]. I almost sprung for it the previous week at $250, but it came back with a lower price, and FS. Couldn't not do it.

I've owned this lens before, but sold it for the -A*ED, which was slightly better stopped-down. This time, it'll be wide-open.

I've attached a photo of it, and one by it, with the first 'by

I had this lens for some time, but sold it.My major complaint, (when used with the A7 series), was excessive CA,especially wide open. Also it was rather f2.7 than f2.5 in fact.

What Pentax K/EOS adapter are you you using?

It's a Kindai (Rayqual) K to EOS adapter. It's the best of six that I compared a couple of years ago. The two next best were an old, DIY adapter, and Kiwi. The last three (generic, Rolf, Big-Is) were all poor for fit & function.

I think I could dremel these off? I'm hoping I can...

The aperture control lever and lever shield have to be removed, before you can use a Pentax K-mount lens on an EOS FF body, except for a few, manual aperture K-mount lenses that have no aperture linkage to the camera.

I prefer cutting off the aperture lever and shield using diagonal wire-cutting pliers. I think it's a lot easier on the lens innards than using a dremel. In order to keep junk out of the lens, I cover the rear element with a hand-cut cardboard disc, and then secure it with masking tape. The cut end of the metal lever needs a few light touches from a fine file, to smooth it out.

Yeah, you can see the CA in the 100% crop. That often disqualifies a lens for me, but I want to evaluate it in comparison with newer L-series lenses, for wide-open rendering. I can either correct the CA in post (which irks me), or use it for B&W.

I just picked up a used, mint Leica SEM 21/3.4 from Webb Cam in Philadelphia, with a Leica UV filter thrown in as part of the deal.

It came with the original box, case, instructions, and test certificate, but no guarantee card. I assume the guarantee card wasn't included because it was filled out in the original owner's name...? I thought it would be included when they advertised "all paperwork", and am a bit annoyed with its omission.

There is, however, the Leica 3 Year Passport Protection Plan mail-in card. Of course, it says this must be filled out and

I contacted Webb Cam and they were very helpful. Apparently this particular lens was from a collector who wanted to keep everything in new condition, so the mail-in Passport Protection card was not filled-out and instead just kept in the box. It's not valid any more, unfortunately for me, but Webb Cam included it in my purchase just for the sake of completion.

Overall, the lens is in perfect shape and the images I got on a weekend hike look great
