Well, first wedding of the season, and the A6000's performed flawlessly. I pretty much had the Zeiss 24 1.8 glued to the camera for the day, but these were captured with the 35mm 1.8. I needed just a touch more reach during the reception.

Trying out this fairly big lens on the tiny body. The AF, even the continuous AF, doesn't face this combo. This is my favorite portrait lens on the A7r and it is a tad too long for the APS-C body but it works like a charm.

One from today with the Zeiss 16-70/4. Yet again, I had time to stop by a waterfall location I'd never been to (was not a planned photography trip), and didn't have a tripod plate with me, so I had to hand-hold with OSS. But, I at least know this gorge has some amazing angles, some of which I couldn't really explore because of the lack of tripod and the fact I didn't have waders. Still, I did roll up my jeans and take my shoes off, and I stood up to mid calf in the stream to get this angle. I just wish I had my tripod to get a little longer exposure and probably better framing, since I would have been able to be more deliberate, though this is pretty much the shot I was after. I'll count it as a scouting trip, and will have to return some other day and get the good shots.

Just curious...why are the A6000 images separate from the other APS-C Emount images? Shouldn't we combine the NEx and A6000 threads? Seems odd to have a thread for one model.

^^^ Maybe beecause Sony dropped the name NEX on this body. At least I couldn't find the label NEX on my A6000 . I dunno why though...

Yes, but that's a pretty arbitrary reason. The A6000 could very well have been named the NEX-6N.

Trick is to turn of the "exposure guide" function, otherwise the histogram disappears. One of those undocumented interactions, this camera is so fully stuffed with functions that a good manual surely would help a lot.

Hi I can not find this setting "You CAN have the histogram in lvie view AND view it "
In wich position in the menue - google and RTF did not show any result...

"Exposure compensation on the Alpha 6000 is directly accessible using the rear control dial, and the live histogram shows you what your adjustments are doing in real time. Fantastic!"

My camera is set to german, so i can only estimate the titles:
menu 2-2 third entry from top Exposure setting guide? to off
I have set the right wheel to Ev correction
Menu 6-2 Tile menu off, Modusdial-help off
and of course under Key Disp EVF and LCD histogramm turned on as Display option.
This should work.

As on IR mentioned, you can also control the exposure corr by the rear dial, but I prefer to use the top right dial for that purpose, keeping my fingers from the a little sensitive rear dial as much as possible.

Hi headroom, this works, I wrote you a PM, but for those other german-speaking FredMiranda affinicados interested in getting the histogram displayed even when exposure compensation is turned, here the German Menu settings:

die deutschen Menu-Einstellungen:

Belicht.einstellAnleit AUS
Regler: Rad Konfig VZ-FNr (nicht zwingend IMHO)
Regler/Rad Ev-Korr Regler (nicht zwingend IMHO)
Kachelmenü AUS
Modusreglerhilfe AUS

Question for those A6000 owners that also own an A7/A7r -- Is the A6000 EVF sensor still hyper-sensitive like the A7(r)?

Are you referring to the sensor or to the EVF of the A6000? I am not sure about the sensor aspect if that's what you meant but the EVF of the A6000 behaves just like that of the A7r.

Yeah sorry the EVF eye sensor - I know on my A7 it almost makes waist-level shooting impossible, it's so damn sensitive. Wondering if the A6k has this problem.

No problem - Yes, basically it is the same deal on the A6000. Either you move the camera away a tad more from you or you opt for the "monitor" instead of "auto" if you want to do a lot of waist-level shooting. It doesn't look the sensitivity can be adjusted at this point .
