Congratulations on your Touits, Joan and Taylor. Let me post one more Touit pic just to join you. It's cropped, though, so it somewhat defeats the purpose..:-) BTW, love your B&W, Tyalor!

Thanks philber! that one is using the "infrared" LR4 preset. The picture is of the residue left behind by a lime-producing operation that ran there around 100 years ago.

Phillipe -- I really like all your harbor photos. I think I see you getting more and more comfortable with the wide angle.

Wow what devastation. The large building is spared by some miracle, but the little one is not so lucky. Similarly with the forest / grass, islands of green in a black/brown sea.

Great shots!

uhoh7- Unbelievable pictures. It looks so quiet, but it must have been a devastating drama.
The quieteness makes it really sinister...

That lens really impresses most of the time. I was browsing through the forum, not really aware that it was the NEX thread, and without looking at the lens info I thought "That's got to be the 21 Distagon".

It is Alwang, who could make a pinhole camera look like a Distagon 21. When others are quite capable of making a Distagon 21 look like a pinhole camera...:-)

Thanks guys, for the kind words. The CV 15 really does deliver, though. I've informally compared it to the Samyang 14 on NEX, which most would agree is excellent optically. There's more resolution to be had with the Samyang, particularly in the corners, but the microcontrast of the CV makes images really pop, and makes manual focusing much easier. I also love how close I can get to subjects pairing the CV15 with the Hawk's adapter. Finally, there's the small matter of the Samyang being at least 3 times the size of the CV.
