The 35 Ultron is sharp, but low contrast, much like the original 28/1.9 Ultron. Solid lens, but lacking in the sort of character I look for.

I didn't quite like the Ultron 28. The lower contrast of them probably makes them good candidates for anyone who leans towards B&W photography though.

Sebboh, those shots are amazing. I was considering a Contax 28 but I think that the Sigmas are so good my money is going to the extremes of focal length to fill out my kit.

Brian, that is perfection in composition and timing. Wonderful shot!

And PlasticMotif you know what I say about that lens already, I like it.

Folks, Plasticmotif is the reason I'm in here.. Waiting for the 50 1.4 he sent me to arrive.

I'm still working hard on my Old School Challenge for feb, B&W and only dodge, burn and crop.

Sigma 30, straight out of the camera with a crop.

Lovely work Philip.

A few from the Olympus Zuiko 28/3.5, just to see what it's like, as I inherited it.

thanks and great shot!

that thinking sounds wise the sigma 30 is extremely good and sharper than the contax in the corners (the contax appears to be sharper in the center, but they're both very sharp there). i like the contax colors and pop better and much prefer the ergonomics of the camera with a manual focus lens though. i suspect the sigma 30mm will just be for my wife.

another stitch with the g28:

that was my feeling as well when i had the Sigmarit for a month, nice lens but it lacks the G28's character

After a long pause i could do some decent landscapes today:

Phillip

I always kinda wonder how do you PP those pics. Sense of depth in them is sometimes truly amazing..

Btw. that CV15 in your hands look more like Zeiss. Dunno how you managed that..

Sunny and Brad. Minolta pancake 45mm, something I noticed enough in these forums to pay attention. MIne was $30 and another $10 for the adapter... what a steal.
