Hi All,

First, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

It's 4:45am now and just finished with the eclipse. Made this image at 3:41am EST with one of my telescopes and my D300.

Fabulous photo!

I am thinking about getting a telescope with a motor drive that will accept a camera mount. I'd like to be able to photograph the moon and planets. Any suggestions?

You don�t make me happy with this shot. I allready had forgotten my wish to buy a nice telescope. Now if I see this photo the wish returned with a loud bang

Thanks much Jose. Socked in with snow last night so this is the best view I've had

Note that the last time the moon was eclipsed during a winter solstice was in 1638 during Galileo Galilei's imprisonment for heresy in his support of the Copernicus' theory of the solar system.... gotta love that!
