Nicely done! The only nit I see is the light seems hot on her face in the handstand picture. Other than that I really like your lighting and post processing.

Thanks for posting

Doug,

Your right, that bothers me as well but that was the best pose. To get into that position Taylor had to move side to side and she went too close to the right edge light.

I like the light and PP as well. The light is highlighting some hair on her legs in the last that you might want to clone out. Not that it looks like she has hairy legs, but I could see a girl being self-conscious about that sort of thing.

I really like these! My son is a gymnast and my daughter quit a few years ago. I've done standard T&I photos for the gym in the past but would like to be able to offer more unique photos. Would you mind explaining your lighting and PP in #1 for example. If you would rather keep it a secret I totally understand that too. Nice work regardless!

I agree; these are great. I'm interested in the lighting pattern(s), too. The girl looks like she was lit with strip lights, but the backdrop has a wash of light, too. Not much coming from the front. So what and where were the sources?

I shoot a lot of dance portraits for studios; mine are technically competent but not exactly cutting edge, but yours have definitely provided some intriguing ideas.

Well done. You've displayed her like jewellery on black velvet.
A few hot spots. Those can be pulled back a hair so easily and that would make them even better.

Fantastic set. The skin tone looks a bit too red in #3 on my monitor.
