gregfountain Offline Dedicated FM Upload & Sell: On p.1 #1 · A couple from Costco Costco never ceases to amaze me. The first is a Banksia of some sort. The second is either a Mumm or a Dahlia. I do wish you had used f11 in the second shot as you did in the first. Did you choose f2.8 for the purpose of really bringing focus where you did? I know, that sounds kind of like a dumb question, but I really think your florals benefit from more depth of field as in the first. Just my friendly opinion though! I sent these to Costco, and they did a terrific job. I had stopped using them due to quality issues, but they seem to have them resolved. I just don’t use their color profiles or correction. Greg Nice work here, Greg. Sometimes these huge volume stores do surprisingly good work as long as you don't want "custom" treatment. My nearby Walmart photo lab leases professional Fuji equipment that is serviced by trained Fuji technicians. The Walmart employees work continuously through their shifts, so they hone their skills. They are local people who (almost always) so their best possible work, and will usually try very hard to accede to your reasonable requests. Not sure if I was clear, but not only can I send my prints there, but I also bought these two flowers there! I picked up these prints last night, in both b&w and color, and they are fantastic! Thanks Tim. I had a feeling the Costco connection was getting murky... I bought the flowers at Costco, shot and processed them, then sent them to Costco for prints. These are the images I processed. Jim had mentioned printing his black and white photos on his Epson printer, and I suggested using Costco. That's where the printing issue came in. As for printer profiles, I used to download and install their profiles, but I found I got better results from just using the adobe profiles in light room or sRGB...not sure why.
