Thats right, the Giant 8.5 foot tripod from Gitzo (102"), includes the GS5511S Rapid column which adds another 13.5" of travel and the Gitzo hidden foot spikes G1120.129B3 which are awesome. Not only does this effectively get you to almost 13' in the air, if you extend each leg to only 50% of its reach the rigidity of the whole tripod is like a frickn rock. I bought this mainly for shooting w/my 8x10 but wound up also using it with my 500mm and 600mm lenses and landscape/architecture since it was so stiff and could get great perspectives.
