This is my baby. I've only seen one other Magic-Drain-Pipe in similar condition and, as such, am expecting a premium price. Body looks like it's never been touched; even the lens hood is virtually completely free of scratches. The only thing I don't have are the original boxes.
To top everything off, this copy is as sharp and as contrasty as any 70-200 model I've ever shot. I'm not kidding when I say I was blown away by side-by-side 100% crops from images taken with this lens. So, are you looking for a MDP? Here's your chance.
Includes front and rear caps, tripod-ring, and lens hood.
Optional Lowepro Lens Case included for $15 more.
Firm on the price. Was $925 ----> $915 ----> Now: $895 shipped within the lower 48 WITH Case: $15 extra

Too bad you dont have the original packaging and documents, then it would be a nice collectable.

How does it compare to the new 70-200 II ? (other than price)
You're attempting to compare no-IS to a brand new 4-stop IS system. It's really no comparison... especially since the new mk II is arguably the sharpest zoom in canons entire lineup.

And you're comparing the IS (and probably USM) functionality of the new zoom which the 80-200mm doesn't have.... The comparisons are strictly in terms of optical performance, of which the 80-200mm has almost always come out on top. Admittedly, I haven't seen many comparisons of the new mark II. But optically this lens for sale here has generally equaled or outperformed the 70-200's. Many (including me) have not been shown any reason to "upgrade" to any of the 70-200's yet. Hence the price tag of a lens this old.....
