Great set Joseph but that last image is really stunning! Congrats!

Peter, I like that decaying Dodge. very nice colors.

Extremely well use Curtis for that 105/2.5 P. I think I was the first adopter of the Sonnar design in this thread but it got more love only after you've got a copy! IMHO the Gauss version is better in portraiture but the Sonar has a plus in landscape.

Scott this one is super. Have you had the 85mm 1.8 very long? I have noticed some great shots coming from you using this lens over the past many pages. I keep seeing them come up on Ebay very reasonably priced but I just can't justify it since I have the 85mm 1.4. I think you are wearing me down though

After sharing Nikki when she traveled the world, I knew I wanted a version of this lens. I picked mine up on ebay and it has become a favorite. It along with the 35 1.4 and the 20 3.5, and I am a very happy camper. I have never used an 85 1.4 so I do not know how they compare. But Ray, its Nikki's sister, you gotta get one.

You can never have too many lenses Ray...

Of course, that isn't true... I keep telling myself.

It really has been a long time since I bought a lens... a second copy of the 55 f/1.2 S.C. AI. I do keep my eye out and IF a lens came along that I simply couldn't resist... I wouldn't...

The 85 f/1.8 H or H.C. are appealing largely because of size. The f/1.4 is a big lens, as you well know. It is this reason, of course, that kit building is forever...

Yes, I agree you can have too many. I am not a minimalist but I do feel bad when these lenses just sit in my bag. I try to take photos everyday but this summer has been a really hot one here in Florida especially these dog days
The 85mm 1.8's that I have been seeing and that are the most appealing to me are the K versions. I have had good luck with that series and have four K versions right now. I suppose one more wouldn't hurt

Was out and about this morning and mounted the 55mm f1.2

So I just decided to play a little ...

Then converted in PS and SEP2 to monochrome

Just for the fun of it !!

The side wall of the Harris Museum in Preston

At the from entrance is this stone edifice .... not sure if it is an instruction, or a warning ....

The stairway interested me, though it may be a little bland .... Red Rose House and Palatine House entrances
in cockney (London) rhyming slang .... they are know as the 'apples and pears'
PC controlled in PS5.5 and mono'd

Then on the way back to the car .... flying the flag for British Justice ... at the Law Courts !!

Just love that lens, but, just don't use it often enough .....

Steve I love the stairwell photo. I am surprised that 55mm got all of that in one photo. Did you blend photos together? It is a great shot and my favorite of the group!

Ray, if you look in my profile, one 85mm lens is not enough I've got a one of Nikki's sisters(an HC), as well as the 1.4 MF and AF, and an AF-D 1.8 for good measure

Do it, you know you're going to

Thanks for the kind words.
What I love about the Df and 28 2.8 AIS is that the combo is relatively light. I opened the sunroof, stuck the camera out and captured this while driving

I have done that before, but out of a side window... Posted this before, Nikkor-HC 28/3.5, f/8, zone focused and handheld. We are both doing 47mph...

Awesome, Kevin! What I like about MFNG is that you don't have to worry about AF missing.. just set it and it'll do the rest.

Yosemite is very dry this time of the year. The Merced river is usually roaring around May-June but now there's barely any water on it. Love the flare resistance of the 28 2.8 AIS, and I'm sure the 14-24 that costs thousands more would've botched this shot...

I have the 85mm f/2 and am continually temped to get the f/1.4 version of this lens. Such a gorgeous hunk of glass.

So hard to resist.

Thanks Ray

It is a crop and straightened version of the original

Hope that explains it.

So yes all in one frame, but not all the shot
