Here is probably my final extreme macro shot for a while, need a few basic pieces of equipment to do it properly really and without them I'm not sure I want to go down the whole route of stilling, relaxing, spreading, pinning and drying the insects !

This is a leafhopper we get here, tiny crazy little colourful bug !

John - do you use pt GUI for pano or something else? Are you using a gigapan or a normal pano head? I love panos, and yours are really nice, but for some reason (called work) I neglected them for a while.

Thanks for all the nice comments and likes.

Samy - You're doing very good work with that old kit. I still haven't seen you.

Joseph - Good job on repairing your lens. What kind of grease did you use?

Andy - Very nice set, I love the processing.

Monday - What a great set, I'm not sure which one I like best. More please!

Thanks for the comments and likes..... Leighton, you're making me want to pick up 35mm f1.4 now! Nice sets from everyone in the last 24 hours! Here's a single image (cropped) from the 16mm f3.5 recently ai'd taken slightly later in the evening...

Cheers and good light,
David

Andy, great set from Edinburgh. Love the moody setting with the rain.

Samy, lovely isolated flower. The background is nicely rendered.

Ryan, terrific set from Point Reyes. Not able to pick a favorite here.

Chin, another great composition of Oolong. How many cookies for this take?

Leighton, you work at the fair and market is very nice. I like the boots and flower pot, and also the young lady sleeping on the bench.

Thank you everyone for the comments and likes on the NASCAR series.

Thanks David. This is how it happens around here. Someone starts using a particular lens for awhile, then all of a sudden, you MUST have it. Ray is the one that convinced me on the 35mm, thanks Ray!

BTW, I like how you captured that light on top of that building.

Thanks Scott. These young folks get SO worn out from showing animals all week that they're exhausted.

You can tell it's Sunday, SLOOOOW.

In that case, I'll post another from the fair. I wish I would have had the horse's hoofs in the frame, but it's not easy when it's going up and down. Developed in AEP2 and shot with the 50-135mm.

Chin, love your Oolong-portraits. Nice contrast between the fluffy doggy and the sober designed (term?) dresser.

Leighton, Melissa's flowers are my fav from your latest shots - great play with the shallow DoF. Your 180mm-images are fine as well. Love the fuzzy cat ;-)

Ray, I really enjoyed looking at your architectural shots with the 18/3.5 a few pages back - your best wide-angle work so far in my opinion.

Philippe, the 403 looks wonderful. Love the pipe-smoker-candid.

Ryan, superbe lighthouse-photograph ("pic" would be the wrong term). Great street-shots too (fake flowers vendor is top-notch).

Sar and Jose - fantastic photography with the TC-16A between lens and camera.

Samy, love the gator-portrait. Congrats to your Bronica - working with medium-format is much more fun than shooting 35mm-rolls.

Ram, congrats and all the best for your family!

Ken, the "pumped up" sunset is an eye-catcher for sure. Congrats to your Df!

Peter, great images from your hiking-trip. The "vintage" set (http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/929565/4121#12521452) is my fav from your car-shots.

Ronny, this shot here http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/929565/4120#12521144 is my personal fav from your latest images. Fantastic mood and a subject that I like ;-)

John, excellent mountain-pictures.

Andy, fabulous macro-shots!

Philip, nice to hear from you again. The dive-shot is superbe - love your generous framing.

Tom, very nice city-scenes with the 20/2.8 Ais !

Jeff, love your abstract images. The glass-portrait is awesome and the long shadow a minimalistic masterpiece.

Mark, the croatian landscape is fantastic.

Nuno, the beach-scenes are eye-candy.

Sorry, I've missed many great posts and images.

Rafael Interesting to see the 180 line-up and the different coating reflections.

Rattymouse Great shots of modern China, especially like the color shot of the restaurant.

Samy What an interesting Bronica!

Ronny Lovely images, like the oof areas.

Ram Fantastic detail in Dasher.

Leighton What a fine series at the fair!

Scott Nicely seen race shots, I like the 1st one especially.

Ken You seem to have taken to that Df, good shooting!

Jose Interesting Jumping Spider. Looks like it is sitting in a loose web woven over the leaf.

Joseph Nice set. I like rescuing old lenses and putting them back in service too.

Andy Very atmospheric shots of a rainy old city.

Monday Great shots of Point Reyes. You were lucky to be able to visit the lighthouse, it has been foggy, closed due to high winds, and impossibly crowded on 3 of the 4 times I visited!

Chin Great shot of the most talented dog I've ever seen.

David Nice colors to Night Fall in Detroit.

Georg Love how the ship dwarfs the workers.

Peter Most bugs invading my space after processing take the form of abstracts, think Jackson Pollock!

And some images from the Baltic Sea:

fisherman and seagull by georgsfoto, on Flickr
a perky seagull waiting for some leftovers - 400/3.5 IF-ED at f/4 from a moving boat, cropped a bit
Removed a lot of longitudinal CA's, a weak point of this otherwise fine lens (my actual #1 MF-Nikkor)

a rather large (by today's and local standards) fishing-vessel coming in after some days at sea - 135/3.5 Ai

Untitled[/url] by georgsfoto, on Flickr
The Øresundsbron - an early morning snap with the 135/3.5 Ai

Untitled by georgsfoto, on Flickr
The same bridge between Sweden and Denmark shot in gusting wind - the Berlebach Mini tripod was not up to the wind-induced vibrations.
400/3.5 at f/8 - 30sec exposure - the shaky "lines" are the lights from a sailboat - it crossed the entire frame quite fast ;-)
