A little soft, but not bad at all.

Spin the lens like you are going to remove it, then rotate the aperture ring until it comes off. Might be around f/5.6.

Thanks Kevin but still won't come off. Got a 5 day camping trip tomorrow and really need to get it off.

The further I turn the aperture ring the tighter it gets, at f22 it is quite loose but seems to be caught around the rabbit ears area which makes sense I guess as it is the location of the tab on the body.

This could ramp up the expense of the NMFAS - 1 body per lens !!!

Pheww, panic over ! The rabbit ears were just catching the AI lever, preventing the lens from turning the full way. Unscrewed it and now it is fine. May just need to file a bit off the rabbit ears bracket if I want to put it back for aesthetic purposes but for now I'll leave it off.

Thanks anyway Kevin, mainly for remaining calm while I was running around like a "headless chook" as they say here !

Only reason I stayed calm was because I had the same happen to me on my first D7000 with a lens modified the same way as yours.

*Repost from D750 thread*

I was able to get the TC-16A to work with no problems on the D750 (I didn't anticipate any). But, here are a few SOOC Raws using D750 & TC-16A & 180mm 2.8 AIS ED IF.

Opened raws in NX-D, converted to 16 bit Tiff and opened in LR and placed in Flickr file. No adjustments made at all.

Subject matter is terrible (Just taking some test shots), but if anyone wants to look at the files feel free to download and pixel peep. Both shots handheld, so most likely not very useful.

Rafael - i am now intrigued by the 20UD. Whete could i see some more examples of its proper use?

OK Francesco, you asked for it, both at 3.5 low light high-ish iso. Full resolution in Flickr

The first one keeps the leaves in decent focus, the second photo with the train station is masterfully (read accidentally) matched to the field of focus of the lens, look at the whole thing including the Philips screw heads at your feet.

Lens front and center in my superwide set.

Decent sharpness at 3.5

Superb focal field matching at 3.5, the extreme corner is dark due to filter ring and shade.

They are all fantastic. Not sure how you managed to cut it down to 15 though, I bet a top 100 would have meant leaving out some amazing stuff of yours, let alone what you had to cull to get 15.

Next I want to see Georg and Philippe decide on only 15 top shots...
