I just bought a Nikkor-Q.C 135mm f2.8 AI-ed lens from Curtis. A great lens and I really like it. Thanks very much.

Lots of great photos the last few pages!

A tiny pink flower I found today - both shot with the 28mm f2.8 ais reversed.

This shows the scale on a tiny pink flower I found today.

My latest purchase, I must be the only person in the world with three extra 15mm caps, it is the same cap for the 3.5 or 5.6 lens.

It is for this lens, as a backup in case one of my 4 or 5 caps gets dented/

I don't find it odd at all. I have an extra slip on cap for my 16/3.5 AI lenses because I know that one day I'll drop it in a hole or river etc.!

It really does! I was surprised when I first saw it. It changes so much depending on the focus distance.

Your 180/2.8 is supposed to arrive today, probably in the afternoon. I'll do my best to ship it you already today if I come home in time.

Thanks Nuno!

It is not that strange, and i find that often more than the distance it is the nature of the background and how it reflects/generate bright spots.

A question, is the Nikkor-Q Auto 135/2.8 any good? I can get a AI converted one and it looks in good condition.

Yesterday I took a few hours and took the 100-300 F5.6 mounted on the D800. I think it is an under rated lens on that body. Unless you are looking for an arm workout it's not fun to carry either. I was surprised at the number of keepers and its performance once again.

A few more from the 35/1.4 AIS, all of them wide open at f/1.4.

Not really the style of the majority here, but I know that one or two might enjoy it.

That was my personal favorite of the 135's.

Here is a link to my Flickr page devoted to the 135-Q: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevinwoodard/sets/72157633004042713/

Francesco The 135mm f/2.8 Q is the best value for the money of any Nikkor.

James Nice work with the tiny flower!

Ken I never heard of the 100-300 f/5.6 before but it looks like it might cover a nice range of focal lengths. I wounder if I would still be a cat lover if I tried to drive that thing!

Ray Nice capture at the pond, what was his dinner?

Hoods, Hoods, Hoods on the A team

The 55mm 1.2 has the wrong hood. Anyone have the real one?

Thank you Rafael! I'm a big fun of all your photos. Please keep them coming!

I am flying to Azores on Friday morning and I think I will take the 35/1.4 AIS and the 85/1.4 AIS with me (plus the Samyang 14/2.8). Anyone would disagree? I might take the 24/2.8 Ai as well if I have the space.

I have the original snap and screw 55 1.2 labeled hoods. Really hard to find. The hs7 and hs12 work well and can be found new on eBay for 30 semolions or so. Hs7 Looks best.

Ray That's a neat extensive collection of hoods. I use an HS3 but don't know if it is optimal.
