Philippe - I see I need a French spell checker. We were there in '92. Beautiful area!

Ken, don't worry about spelling... we are so pleased when an American puts the effort into speaking French. We know how rare this is -)
By the way, in 92 I was in ..... Angers !

Je ne comprends pas ... I had that phrase down since I didn't understand much.

I did reply that my daughter was an exchange student in your University. Le monde petite?

I was stationed in Paris for a short while and I rented from a "M. DuVal" who thought our names were funny .... "Hill and Valley."

Your photo of the "pont" appeared while I was typing this "ces't bon"

Leighton, sorry to read about your broken snowblower. Nice 2F-set, my favs are Gus and the last image for the dainty pastel-like colors - it looks colder than the beautiful sunset-shots.

Ken, great to see you're having fun with the Fisheye-Nikkor at the fair!

Ron, love especially the second of your bird-portraits with the 135!

Philippe, I wholeheartedly agree with Lestor: a mighty fine bridge-shot. Makes me think instantly about "La Grande Nation".

Some months ago I've posted an image from a de-railed loco. Turned out (after a trip to the repai-shop) that nothing broke or went out of shape and specs.
Some weeks ago I went to the small freight depot and could snap a few frames.
This one is mis-focused a bit, shot it from the small side-deck (term?) with the D3s held high in the air, while trying to peek at the rear display (Live-View):

D3s + 16/3.5 Ai at f/8

Here's an overview about the small depot. Not much traffic there, but still important for a small port.

The orange loco is the de-railed one, back in service again - 180/2.8ED at f/4

Phillipe - Love the Bir-Hakeim bridge shot ....

And I must say you capture the essence of Paris.

I will be there in three weeks and hope I can get some more great shots of this wonderful capital.

If I can get close to some of the style of yours I will be a happy bunny.

Puits fait mon ami, je ne peux pas attendre pour essayer

Steve

Georg that monochrome of the loco driver is brilliant.

Not bad if it's out of focus slightly .... nice and grainy effect though ....

Leighton you have captured some glorious sunrise colours there.

Ron your birds on the Df are tack sharp ..... nice to see some birds that I've not seen for a couple of years.

Toying with the idea of buying a Df ... just not too sure yet ...

Samy your cardinal is just terrific - well done! Thanks I can't wait to get my camera back

Jay your rose is simply stunning!

Ram your new 35mmE lens looks great - amazing shots

Welcome Dave! This thread is a lot of fun to hang around. Great shot and I hope to see many more!

Leighton I love your sunrise photos. The colors are amazing and the DR is out of this world!

Ken great shots from the fair. We went to the festival last night and had a great time!

Ron great detail in those photos and with the 135mm they extra special!

Phillippe great eye for composition

Georg I absolutely love the portrait using the 16mm. What an eye you have for photography. Thanks for the compliment. Comparing my photos to Curtis's is probably the best compliment I have ever gotten!

Thanks for the comments and likes.

Ray, you're right about the DR of our D600's. That and the cropping ability are my two favorite things with this camera.
