Looks like we have 'Car Crazy' here..wonderful
@Ken:Loved your cars..Nice collection..I bet you have a few more waiting to display..waiting for those pics.
Some for Ken with the 100e wide open:

Beautiful pictures everyone..lotsa likes handed out..
@Ray: Your trinity pic is tempting me to go for the 85 f2 ais..still with the guy who has reduced to 120EUR..maybe??

Here's my first shot for Peter's challenge with my selected lens(this turned out to be the cheapest of my series E glass)..the humble 28e f2.8..first attempt at reversing..don't have an adapter yet so handheld..(EXIF data is messed up with a lens mounted earlier ..my bad)

Haven't seen all the posts in the last day yet, but I did see the 3 amigos in Florida pictures yesterday evening and have to stop by and comment. I haven't stopped grinning since then. Great camarederie! Some phrase like "Beware! Nikon Manual Glass Aficiniados on the loose!" comes to mind. And the funniest was Reagan with the challenge lens being challenged by woman with iPhone

Woops, I blinked. 10 pages later... I'll catch up with a few "likes."

I also realized I'm not using my smallest/cheapest MF lens for the challenge, the 50/1.4 AIS. I'll make up for it by sticking with the little D40.

Here's a sunset from the other day, D40 and 28/2 AIS.

Light hit the kitchen while I was doing dishes, and Chewy was on the job. D40 and 28/2 at probably 5.6.

Nancy - very nice portrait of Chewy (Dof is just right) and a beautiful sunset! Have to try the 28/2 on DX

Got the 400/3.5 today and the scratches are clearly visible, but I've seen much worse looking lenses perform quite well. Mechanics are smooth and fingertip-focusing should be a lot of fun. Maybe I try it for some sports too.
The - compared to the fat AF-S 200/2 and 300/2.8 - skinny body of the 400/3.5 surprised me a bit.

Congrats on the new 135mm f2 AIS, Ray. You probably can tell by now why I cannot let mine go

More shots from the challenge lens, 3.5cm f2.8 Nikkor-S. This lens loves the color blue.

Georg, congrats on the 400 3.5! I think Ron here in Delaware has the same lens. Look forward to seeing some German wildlife with it!

Chuong, cute pics of the little one! And you are right, that 135 f2 is special.

Nancy, the first pic is a very nice scenic. And cute cat. What all does she chew?

A very impressive set of houses on Auchentoroly Terrace in Baltimore. The street name is Scottish, given by the owner of the area in the 1870s. The houses were built around that time until the very early 1900s. What was very nice was this lady stepped out from one of the doors when I was done and told me to "come back in the spring or summer, the scene would be much prettier".

Its neat to be forced to one focal length for a week (105mm with the 10.5 f4 T in this case) Forces one to compose more carefully rather than reach into the bag for one of the other lenses.

A lion keeping vigil outside a church on Liberty Heights Avenue, and letting the 10.5cm f4 T demonstrate its wide open sharpness and what I consider a very characterful bokeh.

And lastly for today, the sign for the Mondawmin shoppping mall, also on Liberty Heights Avenue.

Leighton, nice pastoral sheep grazing image. The only white stuff I see is on the sheep.

Ken, I like the vette at Leighton's Place.

Reagan, I am thinking we should start a "We Like Reagan" campaign.

Ray, the "Cream Team" looks awesome. Which one of these are you sending to Reagan per his recent plea?

Ronnie, nice snail micros.

Nancy, lovely sunset.

Chuong, nice work with the 35 2.8.

Samy, very cool row of houses. Really like the first image.

Remember everyone........................"Like Reagan"

How sweet it is! Gorgeous lenses Ray. You've really played this game about as well as it can be played. You started with relatively inexpensive gear and over time built your kit. Now with an FX camera and these marvelous lenses you're in great shape. If it weren't dark I'd take a photo of the expanded dream team you mention in your conversation with Buddy, but it is, so I'll share this oldie by goodie from the days before I bought the 55 f/1.2 S.C. AI'd. This is the fast glass collection of AI-s lenses... You'll remember it.

28 f/2 AI-s, 35 f/1.4 AI-s, 50 f/1.2 AI-s, 85 f/1.4 AI-s, 105 f/1.8 AI-s and 135 f/2 AI-s

Fast glass is fun!

But modest glass if it comes from Nikon is pretty sweet as well. To continue with Peter's challenge, I took a few photos on Fourth Street in Berkeley this afternoon. Here is a set of four images all taken with my lens du jour... the 50 f/2 H.C. AI'd.

This is Tacubaya, the Cuban restaurant where we generally have lunch while visiting this busy commercial street in Berkeley. The food is first rate. Some folks even enjoy eating outside.

This store is an institution and its logo much admired. They sell Japanese futons, kimonos, fabric et al.

Three more from Fourth Street...

More than anything, we come to this location because Sue loves shopping at this store. I caught her through the window. (My favorite store is across the street... ) And from inside a bit of bokeh play...

This house could use a little TLC. Taken with the 35 f2 Ai (challenge lens).
Thank you for looking,
Scott

Are you thinking about using some of your architecture skills to tackle this one Scott? This is a bit beyond the fixer upper stage leaning toward demolition. But it is a great subject for a photographer. Very nice...
