Ronny, the first shot of the German is awesome. I really like how the out of focus tree is all around the dog.

Raphael - In humid seasons I like to keep the AC on and the things like cameras, lenses , hunting rifles in air that circulates. I've taken to vacuum sealing good things before hurricane season for fear of days without electricity and 100% humidity.
Georg - Again another thank you for your comment.
Mihai - The winter scape is my favorite.
Samy - The icicles in black and white really draw you into the picture. Nice! To answer your question the 20m is the 2.8 Ai-S.
Leighton - The coop has the same quality as the shed you posted some days ago. Very down to earth and caught perfectly.
Fons - I like the 105 shot.
John - Thanks for sharing the family album and the wide array of your work!
Ronny - The OOF "bee" made me hit the like button. Also beauty of a dog.
Andy - The blue hour is unique and I liked the framing and the lighting.

Talking about things that make one's legs go weak, here's a mix of Nikkors and Nikons, all but one from over half a century ago.

The tiny 5cm 1.4 SC mounted on the Nikon S2, the even narrower 10.5cm f4 T to the right, and the big hulking 13.5cm f3.5 Q mounted on the relatively young Nikon FG in the background.

The S2 and the 5cm 1.4 SC are likely about 1956.

The 10.5cm f4 T and the 13.5cm f3.5 (as well as the weathered 10.5cm f2.5 P which was used to take this picture) are from 1959-1960. The FG is from the 1980s.

Loaded the S2 for the first time, and now need to look for a light meter

And here's an image with the FG. I think the 10.5cm 2.5 P or the 13.5cm 3.5Q? Ilford 50 film. I like the texture.

By the way, these days I sold one of my last "plastic fantastic" VR, nano, etc, G lens (16-35/4) by an amount that allowed me to buy 2 zooms I have lusted for a long time: 80-200mm f/4 ais and 50-300mm f/4.5 ED ais, both in pristine-like conditions. However, I have to wait around one month here to receive the lenses...

Jose, I can't wait to hear how you like the 50-300.

More Sydney shots.

Would love to go back and have a proper go at these views with tripod and stitching. As it was, with the family I didn't have the time or equipment so these are pano crops of D800 shots.

This is from North Point, so it's the entrance to Sydney Harbour, northern side looking south.

Wow, Samy, that's some really beautiful stuff! Regarding a lightmeter: just in case you're a smartphone-user - just talked with a photographer last night who was playing with a smartphone-app for metering. Turned out that it worked very well.
Otherwise a Sekonic Twinmate L-208 makes a neat companion for vintage gear. Dealing with really old, selenium-based meters can be fun, but also frustrating.

Deer family finding shelter from the sleet this morning. No way to open the window without rousing them, so this was with the 180 2.8 front element snug against the window pane in the hope of blurring out the dirt on the glass.

ShelteringDeer by maryland_photos, on Flickr

And a look at this patchy deer. Never seen a whitetail with that pattern. Played with the white balance on this one although the bluer hue of the previous photo is closer to the scene. Also with the 180 2.8 ED AIS.

PatchyDeer by maryland_photos, on Flickr

The deer are still sprawled out there, under the watchful eyes of two cats sitting at windows.
