I don't like shots of piano-players with hidden hands, but I love the flare here ;-)
The Ai'd Nikkor-H 85/1.8 was a bit long for most shots and didn't got much use.

Nice rock and roll series Georg. I like the flare too.

Thank you for the comment on the waterfall image.

shot on film, 29 years ago - a 17 frame panorama brought to life just now by CS6

Nikkormat EL, 50mm f/1.8 AIS, handheld,

360 degree view from Monte Rotondo on the island of Corsica at sunset

bigger version here - scrolls across the screen.
Original is over 52,000 pixels wide and 5000+ tall.

If you want to "grain peak", this is a 25,000 wide version (25mb jpeg)

Doing some content aware fill along the edges yesterday, I maxxed out my 12GB RAM for the first time. Guess I need to buy more :-)

I think my 45 has to go in for service, I have a feeling something is out of alignment or something. I have problems getting sharp results, even when stopped down, especially when tilt and/or shift is applied.

Here are two that came out ok, one fairly wide and one stopped down.

Anton I don't own a tilt shift but I do know that it is a totally different style of lens. In most of the examples I have seen when shifted more of the photo is out of focus than is in focus, I have listed a flickr page that shows examples of the use of the tilt-shift. I hope this helps

I am aware how it works, but I feel I got sharper results before.

Georg - thanks and excellent band shots

Chin - very good image of the gorge

Bird - the Vigeland image is great - not sure about the 2nd one. Love that park and had a great time there in 1971.

Peter and Peter, very nice panorama-images!
Peter from Madison, amazing what todays software can do to old shots! Love the ghosting/flare - but it makes stitching really difficult.
Peter from Knysna, great to see that the 28/3.5 PC works so well with your D200. Beautiful sight, as a kid I've spent many hours on small jetties like the pictured one, fishing for small perch, dreaming of great adventures ;-)

Chin, I like your "Empire" a lot!

Anton, sorry to hear about your 45 PC-E. This Nikkor is one of my favorite lenses - the images taken with it appear to have a much higher punch (micro-contrast) than most of my other Nikkor's. Maybe a result of the Nano-Coating.
Your shots are excellent as usual and an inspiration to try the 45 PC-E for more sceneries.

Leighton, Ray, Scott and Peter - thanks for your comments on the concert-shots!

I've said it often enough Anton, but it is still worth repeating. You're photos with the 45 tilt shift are mind boggling. I love them. But if you're not happy with what the lens is giving you at the moment you definitely want to give it a bit of tender loving care. As well as that lens performs in your hands you need to have it available and in working order. Good luck sorting it all out.

Peter, you're still using that "old" gear right? The D200 with a perspective control lens… I guess you can't teach an old dog new trips, but then when you get results like that who would try?

I took another photo… with the 105 f/1.8 AI-s at f/2. Not quite PC-E bokeh, but still not too bad…

This is a liquid amber tree that has rather spectacular colors and troublesome seed pods you don't want to step on if you're at all unsteady on your feet. Lovely to look at however.
