And the final 5cm 2.0 S at 2.0, window light. Better than the flashes, but the flashes are a good second option. A big difference in the photo of the boy with the flash lights and this one is 2.8 vs 2.0 aperture.
You need this lens, it is magical, renders big brown eyes really well.

I'm surprised your farmer's market is still open Leighton… of course, the first snow hasn't hit yet…

Of course, the extra income will help you get to the Df faster… You can tell me how good the focusing screen is…

Good to see some images out of you. We have just one more week of the regular market and thank God there hasn't been snow...yet.

I'm passing on the Df, just wasn't retro enough for my liking. But it may be a nice upgrade from the D700 for you. You'd look good strolling through town with that thing hanging on you!

Very interesting structure and a more interesting shot. I'm assuming you adjusted for the top half and let the wide aperture handle the OOF areas at the bottom? Doesn't really matter, I like it.

Thank you Peter, Samy, Ronny, Dean and Steve
Samy This one really shines and you also did a great job photographing the people. Especially the African Dance!

Rafael beautiful colors. I always welcome your theater photos. They are nicely exposed! BTW I love your Vet!
Weasle this one has great colors and what a beautiful dog. Your car photos are exciting especially the Mustang. I have always loved them!

Great shots Steve I really love the bikes all lined up and the ones that are hanging!
Scott I think this one sparkles. I love the softness of what I am sure is a thundering sound

Peter this one had great clarity.

I had such a great time watching the installation of the caboose at our towns Welcome Center. It was quite an ordeal just to make this happen. The man who donated this caboose used to have this set up in his front yard and at Christmas and Easter all of my grandkids used to go to see Santa and the Easter bunny. They had to load the wheels first and the the crane lower the body on top.
I used the D600 and 180mm 2.8 ED, 24mm 2.8 AIS and the 16mm 3.5 in the last one

Nice series Ray. Glad to see the caboose being saved. In the last image with the fisheye, it looks like they bent the ladder.

Thank you for the comment on the waterfall.

Steve, love the Coffehouse-shot!

Rafael, wonderful portraiture with the 5cm S! The expression of the strobed portrait is great. The not strobed images are beautiful too, love the rendering of the really old Nikkor!

Some wildly mixed shots from this evening, had some British gents in front of my cameras:

D3s + 28/2Ai

sliders to the max to enhance the mood - D3s+28/2

no business like show-business - D3s+28/2

I don't like shots of piano-players with hidden hands, but I love the flare here ;-)
The Ai'd Nikkor-H 85/1.8 was a bit long for most shots and didn't got much use.

Ray, your "train on a crane"-series is a joy to look at. My favs include the chassis "floating through the trees" and the bench-sitters with the 24/2.8.

Peter from Knysna, the glass-image is beautifully done.

Peter from Madison, your fall-splash-image looks like a lot of fun was involved in the making ;-) Great idea and I like the resulting picture.

Tom, your set from the rooftops is great, love especially the 1st and last one for your choice of framing!

Ron, nice action-shots from the horse-race! My personal fav is the second image.

Samy, the triptych from the museum looks really crisp. I like the rather dark, but very natural looking processing.

Rafael, the last two images from the dance-show are my favs from this excellent set.

John, nice set from the minigolf-trip! Your daughters seem to have no problems with proper manual focusing

Leighton, as usual great candids from the market! The "stripes" are a neat subject, cool how the 105/2.5 renders the background here.

Scott, very nice and kind of "eased" composition on your falls-shot. I like this - sometimes it is great fun to over-accentuate subjects like this (ultrawide-lens or fisheye), but a more conservative framing will never lose it's charm.

Buddy, I really like the way how you've captured the fall in Germany. A truly beautiful set!

Weasel_Loader - great to see you're enjoying the 20/2.8! Nice car-shots!

Sorry, I've missed some great posts ;-/
