Great light on the Shepard Buddy. Sorry for the loss.
Thanks Kevin, Leighton. Not a Shephard but a Husky mix.
I´m happy she did not die but she went with my girlfriend who decided to leave me over Christmas.
Good premonition on the Shephard nonetheless. My new girlfriend has both a Cocker and a Shephard.
Still, I loose one of the most fascinating and primal dogs I ever got to know, and with that a good friend. She communicated so different from other dogs that we managed to build up a near empathic communication based largely on body language. Subtle signals like a casual wave with a hand to release or hold on the spot, a nick of the head to communicate approval, turning in a shoulder to change direction. Didn´t need much training either. She invited me to this kind of communication.
Amy, the Shephard, seems very domesticated in return. I will really miss the original primal communication I had with Holly and if my path in life allows it, my next dog will be a wolf hybrid (Saarloos)
