Reagan - Don't drive by Lakeland without stopping. I really like the shots you posted with the D7100. You are absolutely right about the color blue and the lenses rendering the natural color of the ocean.

Ray - The hat on the chair is art!! I attached a few taken earlier today with the 50 1.2 taken at Streamsong in southern Polk County. It is amazing what they've done with the old phosphate mining operation, turning it in to two championship golf courses, reclaiming the land. The tailings appear to be dunes and the land looks more like the high desert in some places than former Florida marsh. There are plenty of our gator friends about.

The bird and the gator were taken with my beat up 180 2.8 ED with the TC200 attached for 360mm. The EXIF was wrong on the gator so its not attached. There was very little shooting time with the gator because it was cold and finding no sunlight to warm up he'll be spending time in his mud hole cuddled up! I think the leaf was a by product of that and not a fashion statement!

Rafael, really nice! I like the one in the sun more because of the highlights but the one in the shade has more vibrant colors

That's not true!
I always think of you when I'm taking picture because you're THE Master of women shots and something like a father for me about that topic. Do you know that your picture page 1093 post#2 is pinned up on the wall of my desk ? -)

I think Ben's moved on to Leica (and maybe Zeiss?) I think Mihai may also be using other equipment?

Tony from the neighborhood hasn't posted in a while. Laura I come across in the AF version of this thread. Monty still has his street images on Flickr.

Curtis' sabbaticals have been longer and longer. Alan probably got busier?

Got me looking back at those pages, it was about the time I got hooked onto the thread.

There were also other folks, Tony from California (kingsfreak), Chris Dees. And Leighton drooling over a 135 f2

Can't agree more Kevin. I often think of the talented photographers on this thread when I am out shooting. Their likes and passions. How would they see what I am seeing. What a motivation and inspiration it is at times. Then you come across a scene that you know will just be right for someone in the group.

Great shots everyone! Thank you all for the nice comments

- Scott wood shadows on wood and abandoned grainery shots are beautiful and the b&w conversion also very good
- Georg the bokeh shoot is very good led me to your flickr pool. Lots of nice shots there too!
- Sammy nice crisp images from Baltimore cemetery, school and churces with the 20 3.5 UD POV andf perspective are ideal in all these shots... Looks like there is no distortion with this lens. Did you fix it in post? Started following you on flickr.
- Larry nice motorcycle shot, I miss my bike. Your next photo "the lovers" is amazing
- Eric nice helmet!
- Chin, the stories add so much to your pictures...
- Peter very nice flower shots

I have to stop here at page 3504, I have to get back to work!

Andy, the Ginger-shot is my fav from your latest set for it's colors and selective DoF.

Rafael, both "Bird of paradise"-shots are beautifully done. I like the rendering of the old Nikkor's a lot. The first 20/3.5UD-portrait is very cool - love the 35/1.4's glow.

Ken, nice set! The big croc seems to act like a wave-breaker - the lee-side looks calm compared to the windwards-side ;-)

Reagan, the jetty-memorial is a nice catch to keep the fishermen-terminology.
