Great shots everyone.

I suppose some here can be interested in getting some manual PDFs of our beloved old Nikkors.
I found by chance this site:

http://allphotolenses.com/pdf/c_18.html

Far from complete, but can be useful.

Some interesting lenses as 8mm f/2.8; 50mm f/1.8 ai and the 25-50mm f/4.

So I picked up a Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 AiS from KEH to use on my A7 and it is just a finely tuned piece of kit. Amazing craftsmanship for sure...buttery smooth and small.....need it to stop raining so I can try it as a walk around......

Hi James,

If you read the OP by Curtis, you'll notice that this thread is ONLY for Nikon MF lenses mounted on Nikon Cameras.

The 105 is a great lens and if you can share the images from a Nikon camera we'd love to see them.

George, thank you for the interesting flare test with the 85 H.

John, lovely series. Your daughter is growing up!

Jose, interesting link to the lens database. Have to spend some time there checking it out.

Don, love this latest image. You are a master at light-dark and atmosphere.

Chin, you have to like the close focus ability of the 28 2.8 Ais. My "new" 35 f2 Ai is still trying to push the 28 out of my bag.

Some extreme macros from my last trip.
Not the best equipment (55/3.5 or 105/2.8 micros would be better), but anyway the old 50/2 HC did the job. A far cry though from the spetacular macros from Ronny, for example. I had to use very high ISOs because low light.

Jumping spider preying upon fly, taken with old Nikkor H.C 50mm f/2 + tube.
This tiny spider has a lenght of no more than 9mm:

Haha thanks Scott. I do love its close focusing ability so I don't have to pack anything else.

Eric: I got the tip in, which was what I was going for
Was odd, I was standing, hunched over to block off the down lights, rocking back and forth, up and down. When I took the camera off my eye, I suddenly became aware of the two other tables in the cafe all shushed up and looking at me. I quickly muttered some excuses and headed for the washroom!

Zichar, haha im pretty sure people are looking at me thinking this guy is weird when I do macro work!

I know your picture is perfect and you were going for a small dof, pictures looks great!

I was just being sarcastic, that I am a lot. It is something that someone who's not into photography would say. I had a coworker who said why did you post a picture of a chair?

I did to show the nice sharpness of sigma 35 1.4 and the nice bokeh but he didn't see that!

Chin, this is very nice. I like how the background is rendered. Nice saturated colors too.

Thank you Ray. I like the lighting of this picture, shadows. I took some really nice pictures during my holidays but they were not taken with my manual glass.

it made me realize I had just the right number of glasses.

Going on a different subject here, but I just want to share it with you guys. Im pretty stoke, they will start a photography club where I live. It will be a great opportunity to meet some people who share the same passion and improve my skills! I know I have lots to learn. Maybe I'll meet a nice women, who knows ...

John, that pano is a winner. With that, I presume the Nikon won out and you won't be bringing the m43 together the next round?

Thanks!

Well, the m43 gear took a few images:
http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/895186/270

The m43 gear wins out for size & weight, accurate focusing, and stabilization of MF lenses.
It does not win out for ergonomics or IQ (sharpness nor dynamic range) despite what some in the m43 community suggest.

Nikon would kill it if they came out with their version of an A7 or A7r with sensor-based image stabilization - aka IBIS. Us MF Nikkor freaks would be in heaven! Heck, even if it had no IBIS just being able to accurately focus super fast MF glass is huge.

Artistic stuff indeed George, but how did you get the police to pose for that picture during the 85 H's arrest?

Still trying to understand the picture, is that a real scene outside?
