I'm happy to see this thread not only survives without my contribution but it thrives. I'd hoped to be here for 66,666 but you guys shot right past it... and my week got a bit busy. I have picked up the camera on two occasions in the last four or five weeks and took a whopping nine photos in total. I'll post a few just to demonstrate that fact... This shot today at a park near where my friend Sue lives. Both of these were taken with the 55 f/1.2 S.C. AI'd.

And a wide open shot from today.

Seconding Americo's comment on the habaneros!!

Georg, thanks! This is the same intersection where Leighton helped me discover the anomaly between the "No Turns" sign and the Governor's right turn hand signal, a few days back

Samy, very nice sets from your hometown! I like especially the second shot - great work with the superfast 55!
I can't help but notice the "one-way-direction"-sign in front of the church. On the registry office here (where the official wedding ceremonies take place, religious ceremonies might follow after the "official ceremony") a "dead end street"-traffic sign is mounted - have to take a picture of it sometimes...

Ronny you do such great flower photos but I think I prefer the 135 to the 28mm
Steve Love you shots especially the subway photo
Georg thanks for your comments and can I say that I love the apple tree photo, wow!
Mike your Aurora photo is simply beautiful!
Jose it is so nice to have you back. I love the birds in the other thread - tremendous!
Samy great work with the 55mm 1.2. It so nice to see the sharpness that this lens provides. I love this one

Curtis looks like the 55mm 1.2 is the lens of the week. The farmers market really stands out to me!

D3s, 45/2.8 PC-E wide open, the muted greens are kinda dull in reality too

Love this bokeh feast, georg!

Thank you for your comments on my corn shot. Sure hope its not GMO!
----------
Georg the apple shot really is a visual puzzle, the foreground apples and mid distance sharp, the rest blurry!

Mike I wish we got aurora like that in Arizona!

Ronny I love the flowers.

Jose thanks for the link to your 35mm shots, I spent a long time looking at your exotic world.

Samy those are great shots of Baltimore, a place I've only driven by. The Hallway shot is my favorite. I need to give my 28mm f/2 a spin.

Chin, I agree with you - the less time spent on that bridge the better. Those city scapes on the AF thread are 1st class.

Curtis, wonderful color and light on those peppers.

Yup, napalm for the mouth is what they are! If anyone wants to know what a slow burn, that eventually engulfs your entire face, and finally body, try a habanero or two, bites, that is! I have grow some, and they were something fierce when compared to the store varieties! I have had the pleasure of ingesting, nay, slowly killing my mouth, with home grown Jolokia as well, thanks to my wife's East Indian friend, that passed them along! In fact we still a few in the freezer! I love spices, spicy, and heat, however, these things are not suitable for man! lol!

Agree with you Ray .. 135 f2 is much better to flowers and it's so much better bokeh .. the fun of 28mm is closest focusing distance

Listed my D7000 and grip today. Breaks my heart. I have a Fuji EX1 on the way. Should definitely help in the weight department and with an adapter, can use my legacy Nikon glass (and my one Zeiss too). If anyone is shopping for one or knows of someone who is...

I have a Zeiss Biotar 58mm f/2 Exacta mount (that I believe unscrews to M42).

I will still be around, but won't post much until I get one of my film rigs going. Won't shoot a lot that way, but will some.

Kevin, I hope you'll get Harold a good workout when "he" is ready for service. Sorry to hear that your D7000 will leave you and congrats to your XE1, it's a very good camera too in my opinion.

Btw, I have the same Biotar somewhere, have to try this one sometimes for close-range bokeh-bonanza-stuff ;-)

Should be fun. With the Fuji and the proper adapter, you should be able to get infinity focus too. I have a line on someone that services Nikkormat's...

Ronny, wow, the dragonfly-images are outstanding, especially in terms of composition. The curved leaves are brilliant as "base".
In my opinion those two shots belong to your very best photographs.
