Haha, my hands will get shaky when I don't have at least a pint of hot and very strong coffee within reach ;-)

Scott, the chair-landscape is wonderful. A beautiful place, well seen and captured.

I went cold turkey when I was in university (because I can't stand instant)
No idea when I got back on the wagon
But yeah, I need to have one in the morning. None after 2pm though else I'm kept awake all night
Oddly I can do without during travels, different stimuli and perhaps a lot more walking and activity

The prep room.
The sous chef.
The ramshackle chinese food stall.
I had durian instead.
Way out front.

Two rather boring shots from today, played a lot with several lenses to capture an area in my hometown that will soon see even more cranes and concrete.

D3s, 28/3.5PC, 5mm down-shift
This lens is still a miracle for me: sometimes the distortion is very evident, hard to correct and highly disturbing.
In this case I can't detect any distortion at the vertical lines.
A strange issue, have to shoot something with a checkerboard-pattern to see whats going on here

A stitched image from horizontally shifted shots with the 45/2.8 PC-E
This lens is basically a pretty wide-angle-lens for medium-format in a funny shell ;-)
I did correct the upside-down keystone-effect here. At full shift the far corners are soft and show a good bit of vignetting.

Btw, the final image that will be printed in tomorrows paper is a stitch of shots with the 20/2.8 AF-D. A series of verticals with the 28/3.5PC wouldn't stitch without visible flaws

Chin, the cook in the dark kitchen looks mysterious to me. Love the Delta's grain!

Steve, love the graphical, almost abstract tracks-shot.

I like that kitchen shot and know how tricky it can be to get good shots in kitchens. Delta 3200 has a fine grain and nice graduation for itīs ISO speed. I used it a few times but generally stuck with FP4 or HP5 film. I just liked the contrast in the FP4 and HP5 films better.

I never really had a problem with shaky hands. None a glass of wine and a bit of soothing heavy metal couldnīt fix anyway. Still, my age starts showing. I found that I occasionally miss focus on the 50mm f1.4 I recently acquired and guess the 55 f1.2 arriving soon will be even more tricky. To remedy I ordered a split prism focus screen for my D300.

Steve and Samy, thanks for your input. I retrospect I'm probably just frustrated and feeling sorry for myself. I'll snap out of it I hope and start giving positive feedback to all you guys who are my friends and who are really good at what you do

Ok, ok, ok....I use to be a cook back in the day. The country clubs and restaurants I worked for all had aluminum all-clad. Today aluminum is out and stainless is considered safer. All-clad does make excellent stainless cookware, as does a French manufacturer, but I couldn't afford it. You guys seem to forget I am a father of seven kids. Commercial grade equipment for a herd that size is practical, not extravagant. Here is the set I bought + some of my older kids chipped in for an even larger stock pot, and two more fry pans. If you are...Show more
SEE THE SET HERE

BTW, this is my first ever full set of cookware that I got this June. All my previous pots and pans were cast-offs, hand-me-downs, and salvation army finds.

I would love to know where you got that set. I cook for 5, and like your previous set, I sourced my stuff the same way.

HERE

I know Calphalon is known for their anodized aluminum cookware, but their stainless is really well made.
