Ben, love the "creative battle" between Australia and France ;-)

No Georg - it's not a "battle" - I was very flattered that Phillippe was inspired to take a fountain shot after my first fountain shot - but I thought his was better - so to tease him I took another one.......the real "battle" will begin when my Lieca lenses arrive.

Leighton, sorry, you didn't asked for critique, I was typing a bit too fast ;-) I'm a bit obsessed with cut-off bodyparts in photography ;-)

No worries Georg. I'm always open to critiquing, after all, it's how one gets better.

I love the faces on the street car, they look like they're having the time of their life.

There you go Leighton

The minute you put the 180mm on your camera. A musician appears in the viewfinder.

Well that's my experience.

Nice shot, except for the missing hand maybe. She's a cool looking lady.

Great to see your pix again now you're properly clothed again

Thanks Steve, it's nice to shoot with it again. And you're right about the hands, I need to look around the viewfinder better!

Something a little different from the Space Center. Going from the second floor to the first was this beautifully lighted down ramp. The color was phenomenal so I grabbed a shot using the 16mm 3.5. I wasn't quite sure how to edit this photo so it is SOOC

Ray, that is gorgeous. For a sooc grab shot I don't think you could improve it.

Well done for grabbing it and sharing

Your space center series have been great

That's very nice Ray, I love perspective shots, and it's simply amazing - the shadows and that extra something at the end, the bright contrast just draws you in along with the lines

Wow georg, I didn't even remember what the cover art from Odelay looked like. Had to google that up. Your mind holds impressive trivia

I looked through the main touristy belt and right between the buildings
In a dark dark passage, back alley stalls illuminated the end
Giant spotlight shone from above
Heart skipped a beat when I contemplated stepping into the shadows
Not recommended my head said
My wife just gestured for me to take the shot and go
I composed for the buildings and totally missed the man
Staggering drunkenly towards me, his wild ragged unkempt mane bouncing voluminously
Almost recoiled in horror, but he caught my eye and we both smiled, harmlessly

lol - don't wipe me off just yet Leighton - I still have a cupboard full of MF lenses - I've got way too many lenses - when they come to cart me away and they open the cupboards and see what I've been hoarding they'll know what kind of nutter I was.

And there's a couple of us lurking on the Lieca thread here.

Actually - I've been lurking on the AF for MF thread and I'm always surprised how many of us MF people are closet AF shooters. Here we use a 105mm f2.5 or a 50mm f1.8 but over there we pull out the big guns - like a 24 - 70 or some other big expensive zoom.

I think we need more Curtis to preach the true faith.

Curtis - I hope the muse returns soon.

Thanks for the welcome - 1500 shots many duds. Not too happy with the focus on the glacier but I know we have climbers here. Hopefully I'll get some better shots to post if my computer can handle the volume. It keeps giving me a "run time error message" and closing PSE. Perhaps an upgrade is in order!!! $$$$!

Nice spacesuit Ray

Who's the Jo McNally look alike?

If you lift the helmet mask Ray we'd all know how good you look

Many of you remember that I am doing a project for the college I am working at and that a good wide angle lens would be very helpful for some of my work. I just found out that a friend of mine has a fisheye (Nikon 10.5/2.8) that she is no longer using and may be willing to part with or at least let me borrow. In doing research on the lens, I even found some software that will fix the distortion so the lens behaves like a rectilinear lens, so I can use it for architecture. Who knows, might become a fisheye convert!

Ronnie, nice mushroom view of the world

John, great colors in the Mt Rainer mid-day glory
