Jose, very interesting shots from the black snowdrift Glacier. Is the black "snow/ice" a new phenomenon or something really natural, nothing to worry about?
PS: My beard is not white yet (except for a couple dozen hairs )), but I can wholeheartedly echo your "why is the 16/3.5 not in my bag"-outcry. Happens 2-3 times a week ;-)

Rick, very cool macro-shots! The grasshopper is my personal favorite, what a wonderful portrait!

Steve, your fine shot of the "Piccadilly Arcade" is my fav from your latest sets. This is probably the place where future Nikon-Df-shooters buy their Barbour-jackets for their "Pure Photography-trips" ;-)

Philippe, I really love the muti-dimensional look of your antique-shop-picture. Using a polarizer to minimize the reflections would have been contra-productive (had the same thought about your former window-shots).

Some shots from today, still trying to check out the cheap Nikkor-Q 135/2.8:

Neighbors last apples - in this "test" the old Nikkor did pretty well against the light.
None of my 135mm's (including a Leica-lens) is really great in terms of flare and ghosting.
Bokeh is not super-smooth, but not too shabby either.
Nikon D700, Ai'd Nikkor-Q Auto 135/2.8 wide open and close to the MFD

Very strong longitudinal CA's here before the B&W-conversion.
D700+135/2.8 wide open
Should have tripped the shutter a second earlier, don't like the cut-off shadow of the guy.

just a barn-/stable-window, flare could have been worse

and finally a shot with the PC-E 45:

D700, PC-E 45/2.8, minor amount of tilt
Had a hard time to bring the shadows to life, a bit over-processed.
I like the framing with the "sand-traps", but don't like the central position of the lighthouse behind the building (called Teepott here = "tea kettle").

Love them all Georg, but I'm not crazy about the bokeh in the first image. May have something to do with the strong backlight.

Thanks, Leighton! The backlight was coming through thick shrubbery, this caused the "bubbly bokeh". Normal backlit foliage (rare now here) will make a much less busy background.

Hey Peter if he likes pink who am I to comment. He may have a pink thing going on in his life.

I'm sure you right about Df shooters Georg . I'm liking the window and the cobbles too.

Glad I'm not the only one who likes cake Eric.

Steve, I like cake too, but prefer simple and un-photogenic "Streuselkuchen" (= crumble cake) over the fancy looking stuff ;-)

Georg, the barn/stable window is my fav of the bunch.
Phillipe, the antique shop is just your style! Well captured, and I'm with Georg on not using a polarizer.
Eric, are your closeup cropped at 1:1 from the D800? Or did you have extension rings on your macro? My fav thus far is the grasshopper.

Thanks Georg.
In fact it is a natural phenomenon, a misture of sediments and some dirt.

Eric, another set of spetacular macros from the 200/4 Micro;

Georg, great set, loved all, but particularly the 1st and last images.
No CA around the fruit??!!

Well, this will be probably the last from Bariloche, and my first truly huge pano (~240 degrees!!) from Cerro Campanario, a mount in Bariloche with a gorgeous view of Nahuel Huap National Park. Though the 28mm worked very well, I feel a 20/24mm or even the 16mm would be more adequate.

Excuse me for the size, but this is "tiny" in comparison with the original 179 x 30 cm pano!

Wow Jose!! I really need to experiment and start doing some pano! I'll try to find a good tutorial about it. I know you have to set everything manually including white balance

Raymond, I almost always use my macro with a 1.4 tc and for even more magnification I'll put the extension tube(pn11) I wish I could go 5x magnification like the canon mp-e 65mm!!

What sucks about macro is even the smallest breeze can make your picture soft and since you close your aperture to get more dof, shutter speed need to be long so using a flash helps against these enemy!!

Wow! Jose. Wow!
One of the best panos I've seen in a long time.
