Nope, handheld. With the 45PCE, and he stopped all of a sudden to look, mesmerised is what I imagined him to be. I just about had enough prescience to stop (instead of muttering endless ouchies and watching where I step) and fumble my camera out of the bag. I was a tad too close though, wish I had more of his reflection.

Wow Samy, the textures in the second are superb. Brick plus the paint simply lifted off the wood grain in the signage

Very nice Ronny, that mushroom image is what I should be experimenting with soon. I just discovered the crc features of the 28 2.8... quite amazing

Chuong, the first thing I thought was - I wouldn't wanna park under so many birds!

That explains it Steve, wondered about no mention of the craze there I agree on the overpaid superstar prancing queens.

The thing they do is play .... and they play games ....

When I go to do what I do .... I go to work ... as is suspect most here do - unless retried !!

Thanks Chin.

John, those images of the snow capped peak with the 16 fisheye and the 45 are outstanding!

I picked up a newer 28mm f2.8 ais. I wanted to see if the SIC lens coating made a difference, because the older version Nikkor was already one of Nikon';s best lenses. Well, it did make a difference - at least between the two samples I now own. This is a curved surface of a canned air container. The sharper one is the new lens. Oh, and the color is slightly more neutral. Both shot at f2.8 at MFD and 100% crops.

Very nice Leighton, the colours are a great match, reds with that tinge of blue aura around the subject

It is very nice ... the colours etc and the way it's framed are so clean. Beautiful shot.

thank you guys. I have to admit that this is a heavily processed image, and also cropped a little.

I think it's lacking something - the mirror is empty. There should have been something, even a blast of some color, but I had no way to move items around in that area to rig it the way I needed it for my shots. I was glad they let me roam around for half an hour between their priceless cars, while most people had to stay behind a barrier.

Ronny the mushroom shot is very special!

Samy very nice work with the P. C. lens. Love the color!

Steve the street musicians are great and I think I like the guitarists the best

Chuong I really like the "birds" It took me a min to figure out what I was seeing. - Great!

John I like both versions of Mt. Rainier and can't decide which I like best.

Leighton what an expression on the little boys face - nicely captured!

Ronny I agree with Leighton - great light!

Chin love the GRAIN!!!!

Sure, old one is 772xxx ... SIC starts from 825xxx...new one is 832xxx. I estimate it's date of manufacture is about 2004-2005.

Thank you Chin, and I'm with Ray on your "one kabaddi" image.

Thanks Ray, he's a new vendor's kid so there's lot's of opportunities to shoot him.

Thanks for the info Jim, I just checked mine and it's the old version.
