I was truly busy last 2 weeks, so no post and just occasional visits,

Thanks for the comments and congrats for the, as usual, exceptional photos and conversations.

A huge amount of photos to comments, so lazily I will just welcome and praise these jaw dropping shots from 4mpx:

Truly exceptional 4mpx (what is your name?)

Thanks asiostygius for your kind words.

Peter, lovely flower shot. In my opinion you got the DoF exactly right n that one and colors are awesome.

Rick, very nice spider shot I never get as much detail in my spider shots. Do you use flash?

Peter (Burke) personally I like the non-stacked photograph best of them all. The 55 f1,2 S is a beautiful looking lens and gives great images too! That F3 looks to be in pretty good shape as well. Awesome stuff! Iīm still looking at a few old film bodies to put on display myself. An F3 certainly is high on the list

thank you. I used a tripod with flash and a remote for shutter release!
You don't see it in the picture but I got lots of mosquito bite! I was laying on the ground! Haha , things we do for pictures! My father was looking at me from from the cabin and thought I was crazy!

Rick - I agree with Jose regarding your macros although spiders give me the creeps. Don't mind snakes though

Jose - the Bariloche shots are great and the ibis is really lovely

Kevin and Buddy - thank you

Bird - I don't think there's much wrong with the lens. Everyone who has used these lenses on this forum has had to get used to their idiosyncracies and once they have them pat the images are excellent. I have the 28 2.5 PC and it is difficult to focus, specially on the D200. but on a tripod things start to look up.

Lots of activity on the thread the past day.

Rick, great macros with the 200 f4 micro.

Philippe, really like the second chocolate shop image. Great detail!

Steve, neat street scenes.

Jose, great work with the 75-150 E. The color and clarity are fantastic.

Ray (OH), I like the frosty leaf. I am afraid there is more of that coming soon.

Agent Bird, great series. I especially like the pilings, the statue, and the mini in the street.

Chuong, nice rich colors in the table lamp.

4mpx, the guys in the second image has nice dental work! Way to close for me. What is he?

Thanks to Philippe, Leighton, Jeff, and Ray (FL) for the comments on the Winter Waits series.

Ray (OH), no Amtrak police around when I took this one. I have heard of other photographers being asked to leave when taking photos at Amtrak stations.

Peter great job capturing that wild garlic. It makes a beautiful photo.

Agent Bird looks like your T&S is working just right. I like the starburst through the statue.

Chuong for all the bad I have heard about this lens you make it shine - very nice

Sar your owl photo is beautiful and at 50mm you must have been pretty close.
Just as a note it's a good idea to put your name in your profile because we try to go by first names here. Some have neglected to do this for some strange reason that's beyond me

Thanks Scott and Ray.
I didn't think I would like the bokeh either. I leaned that if the background doesn't have a harsh lighting condition, it will be alright (as in the case with my post).

I am still under identity crisis and I have one more lens that I want to try, the 35mm f1.4 AIS

Nice shots with the 50K. It has taken over as my favorite 50, beating out my 50/1.8 Series E.

Scott - nice set with the 200 Micro! I especially like #3, love how you've captured the wonderful late-fall-atmosphere. The side-kight works great here.

Rick, wow, great work with the 200/4 Micro! I like the first 2 shots a lot, thanks for sharing!

Philippe, the 28mm-B&W-shot of the shop is a bit unusual. I like the scene and your framing a lot, I just wonder how it would look processed in a more grainy, film-like style ;-)

Steve, I like the mood of your Les Miserables-image. Nice set with the venerable 24/2.8! Did you straighten the lines in post?

Jose, the lake-pano is wonderful. The lack of signs of what we call "civilization" is nice to see ;-) The Ibis is very nicely captured. I see a trend to use shorter focal-legths for birding lately

Ray from Ohio, nice and very pleasing "placid" bench-shot. Love the rimy leaf!

Peter from Madison, very cool camera-porn! The light is perfect to my eyes. Shot #1 is my favorite for it's framing.

Peter from Knysna, lovely Garlic-image! I like the slightly soft rendering of the blossom and the colors a lot.

Anton, another fantastic set with the 45 PC-E! My personal favorites are #3 and 4, excellent photographs.

Chuong, nice to see you posting again! Nice shot with the 24/2, a great reminder to use this fine lens more.

Sar, your owl-portrait with the 50mm is awesome! I'm really glad you've found this thread. The Tasmanian Devil is very cool, never seen one in natura, only the fishing lure of the same name ;-)

Ray from Florida, what's up with Florida? No sun? Nice work with your 50/1.4K, the pond-scene is very sharp and the blossom rendered in a wonderful creamy fashion.

Ray & Ray, Steve, Scott, Philippe and Jeff - thanks for your kind words! I really enjoy the 135/2.8Q, a very nice handling lens.
A really large christmas fair will start here this week, time to grab the ear-protectors and a couple of MF-Nikkors to capture some OOF-highlights ;-)

Some of the last from Bariloche, Argentina:

Nice marsupial, its cool to see something other than a kangaroo,Koala, or a wombat! However, kangaroo's are cool too! Was it easy to find a Tasmanian devil, in your neck of the woods, or is this one domesticated? Great capture, thanks for sharing! Only marsupial in my area, of Central California, are opossums, they love to eat the out door cats food, and usually at 3: A.M., when I'm to tired to grab my camera!
