Rafael, beautiful images from the sunset-rainbow! Your 28PC-shots look really crisp, did you use shift for those? If so, I would have to look for a better copy (my 28PC is not very sharp when shifted, at least at the borders).

Leighton, good job with the 180ED! The eccentric customer is well worth an image for sure! The Advent decoration looks really great: the light is very cool here, I assume there's a bit of "Leighton's special Lightroom-magic" involved ;-)
Thanks for your comment on "Flare well" - I've played with some film-presets and liked the color-version somehow.

Thank you Georg, no shift, it just happened to be the lens on the camera, this rainbow only lasted 10 minutes at sunset. Mine is a little soft on the shifted edge as well, but usable.

I was truly busy last 2 weeks, so no post and just occasional visits,

Thanks for the comments and congrats for the, as usual, exceptional photos and conversations.

A huge amount of photos to comments, so lazily I will just welcome and praise these jaw dropping shots from 4mpx:

Truly exceptional 4mpx (what is your name?)

And just another image (pano) from my trip to Bariloche, Argentina:

Thanks for the comments on the Sedan DeVille shot. If anyone's looking for a project, the car is still here and I'm sure you can get a very good deal.

John, very nice early morning set from the Sound.

Philippe, love the beautiful colors and textures of the Paris shops.

Georg, congrats on your new 135/2.8. I really like the look of the wide open mermaid and ship's horn shots.

Rafael, gorgeous rainbow shots!

Leighton, really like the "feet."

Scott, beautiful "winter waits" set.

Rick, really nice work with your 200/4.

Steve, very ok, indeed!

Jose, beautiful pano. Love the look of the crystal clear water.

Thanks goodness for the "Like" function, though there's been a few pics I want to add comment to later today. Great job everyone.

Took a short trip this weekend and took only MF glass. One to start. Forget how much I like the 55 micro.

Steve, it's a ways back, but I enjoyed the picture and story behind the White Bull.

Kevin, "Dalia Painted" is very well done. Awesome PP.

Georg, wodnerful posts as always, I particularly enjoyed Marienkirche - "St. Marys".

Leighton, congrats on the prize photo. The eccentric customer and dog is just wonderfully framed and captured.

Scott, cool Amtrak photo. Last time I went down to the local Amtrak station I got threatened with arrest by a railroad wanna-be cop saying I was trespassing. I never did follow through with whether he had the authority or what my real transgression was (there were no signs).

Phillipe, the candy shop series is cool.

some lens porn for a change - a 1960s lens photographed with a 1960s lens

D600 with K2 +K3 extension rings, Nikkor-Q 135mm f/2.8 and some remote strobes and other tricks (7 frame focus stack). I've been spending time on Strobist's blog lately. All f/11 and 1/60s ISO 200

100% pixel peep - I guess I have some cleaning marks on that lens

and one without stacking

forgot this one - 105mm f/2.5 AI'd on the F3HP, same setup except I moved one flash from below the camera to the front to get some color in the glass. Don't like it as much with the harsh lighting

Thank you asiostygius. Other then my macro lense I didn't use manual focus much. But now with my zacuto zfinder I'll be using way much more. I love to be in control of everything. Can't wait to try the 50 1.2 ais, I love to play with tiny dof and see the result I get (bokeh) The 50 1.2 is suppose to be razor sharp at f4! I have not put my hands on it yet but it seems to be a beauty!! All glass and no plastic, good old metal!!

Love the feet Leighton

Phillipe your deli pix are rendered beautifully. The colours are rich and the ambience is amazing.

What a fantastic medley of subjects Georg. I think I like the mermaid best. Shame you missed the 25-50 I'm loving mine.

Another from this weekend, 55 f2.8 Micro. I'm tempted to add some vignetting in LR to focus the eye a little more. Chilly morning in northern Ohio, down in the teens.

Jeff great framing on the wrecked Caddy. It looks like an HDR and very sharp!

Phillippe great store front photos. They are a real tribute to finances to endure all of those years!

Rafael it is amazing all that the 15mm can cover in one photo and your rainbow photos are super special!

Georg nice work with the trusty old 135 Q I especially like the last one with the isolated horn in B&W

Leighton I really love the wreath on the light post. Very nice lighting!

Scott I so enjoy your photos. You have a great eye for composition!. The tree line trails are especially nice.

Rick nice macro work. The close focus can be very demanding and the attachment looks like it is just what the DR. ordered!

Steve your night time photos are really good especially the Les Miserables!

Jose so nice to see you posting again. Your pano is wonderful. I am sure it was a breathtaking view in person.

Ray I do like the bench photo using the 55mm and the leaf is very nice!

Peter, lovely flower shot. In my opinion you got the DoF exactly right n that one and colors are awesome.

Rick, very nice spider shot I never get as much detail in my spider shots. Do you use flash?

Peter (Burke) personally I like the non-stacked photograph best of them all. The 55 f1,2 S is a beautiful looking lens and gives great images too! That F3 looks to be in pretty good shape as well. Awesome stuff! Iīm still looking at a few old film bodies to put on display myself. An F3 certainly is high on the list as well as the Nikon F.

Leighton, I do agree. You should use that 55 micro more often. Just tape the aperture ring to f8 and shoot away. Itīs a stunning little lens. The 180 seems to like you as well though. That seasonal decoration shot is really great. I like how the light from that lantern casts itīs comfy glow on the (whatīsthemtreescalledagain) ring.

Rafael, those are some very nice shots with the 15mm. I especially like one with the fallen in that last shot you posted.
