Love the 16 work, all great, either the stool was scratching the floor so they added the glass insulators or they sit on it when lightning is around? I can't imagine the tower isn't grounded? Love your landscapes, what a view!

Thanks Andy - yep, you got it. It's to stand on during a lightning storm. Yes those towers are grounded in many different ways, but they still need to do this since they aren't in a full metal cage.

We thought is was just an old piece of furniture that had landed there during the many years of the lookout's existence, but apparently it's a standard piece of furniture in the active lookouts. Don't know what you do if there are two people in the lookout during an electrical storm - I guess you get to be very close to the other person while they share the stool or you take turns . . . .

Checked out Leica system prices. $ 2K for the camera and 2K for a 50mm f2 lens. Sheeeeeesh!!!!

Hey Samy

You wait till you check out the price of the Noctilux 50mm f0.95 .... then you can expel some air through the teeth.

We sell them in our shop, and UK price is 8000 GBP so $ price would be about $12400 approx

Now that is a lens to marvel at. DOF is amazing and bokeh is gorgeous, though the older ones are a little less clinical in my humble opinion!!

We probably sell on average about 2 per month, and the Leica M Monochrom is a D800E beater but mono only.

Curtis

Those market pictures are wonderful.

I love the colour and rendering.

Obviously I would be spending some time on those musicians if had been there. I love that type of subject.

And they are so available when they are performing on the street so to speak.

Great pix and so glad you got the 180mm out of the case.

Well done you.

Nice work Ronny, Steve, Ray and Andy.

Andy, congrats on a great lens. As far as the purpose is concerned I'm not sure, but it makes a nice long range portrait lens.

Thanks Ronny - I don't get tired of your dog shots - they are almost always actions shots which I like.

I have some more shots coming tonight after I get a chance to process them.

A hand-held pano shot with the 45/2.8P +CPL - probably shouldn't have used the CPL, but it is what it is.

I really like this one. For some reason Salvatore Dali paintings come to mind when seeing this.

My wife harvested her three little olive trees yesterday and is now preparing the olives to be brined. I guess they will have to be kept in water and rinsed periodically for a month before going into the brine.

Here are some pictures taken with the 135mm F3.5 Ai and PK 1 and 50mm F 1.8

Secondly a couple of dog pics, both with the 135mm 3.5 Ai
