Peter, thanks for the explanation on the TC.

I'm in awe of your ability to plough through so many images in PP. Since I tend not to delete the duds I'd need a Cray computer to handle all the pics if I shot like that.

I'd also be more worried about the camera catching fire than being concerned about oil

Really great images of the McLaren Marlboroughs too.

I love the Walla Walla. On my first road trip through Washington in the 80s we drove through that place, and we couldn't stop laughing about the name of it. Definitely a very memorable name for a place

You know Peter, images aren't like wine, they don't improve with age.

Very nice Dylan. Big perspective difference this lens gives between FX and DX.

Nice, I don't believe I've ever seen bokeh come out of this lens such as this. Now tell us, did you accentuate it in post?

Thank you Ray, Leighton, and Curtis for the comments. Yes Leighton, I do have an affinity for Williamsburg.

If that was created by the lens alone, I am buying one...

I'm pretty sure it has been accentuated.

You can tell by looking at the 90 degree angles in the cross. They should be blurred just as much as the upper and lower portions.

Thanks Scott. I've never used mine on a DX camera, but you and others here have put it to great use.

Dylan - Good use of the 16, even caught your finger.

Funny, I only noticed that after I posted it, and about 10 seconds before I read your comment.

So easy to get your feet/fingers in the shot with this lens. My Samyang 14mm does not have this promblem, with it's huge front element.

Thanks Peter -

I've lived here for 23 years and I've not made it to Walla Walla yet . . .

Oh, if I only had a $ for every shot I have with my finger, feet, elbow, forearm, etc. in the image with my 16/3.5 . . .

This highlights one of the great things about digital cameras - I can catch these mistakes and re-take the image whereas with film it was too late a week later when I got my slides back . . .

I would have retaken that shot....if my wife had stopped moving. "Hey come back here and walk that way again" doesn't really work for me.

There were a few shots of the engine rooms where I was leaning dangerously out over a rail, using live view with my arm fully extended, trying to shoot down at all the machinery that I had to just accept the fact that I could not get the shot without my legs and knees in the photo. It was either walk away, or fall 12 feet on to my head. Still not sure I made the right choice. .
