Un-lurking after a long time

All taken with D2Xs + AIS 400/5.6 last weekend. Got only the last little bit of the sailboat show.

Really yummy. Think of it as a tortilla stuffed with cheese (and loroco buds). Out here, at least, loroco isn't too common. Cheese, bean, and ground pork (chicharron) are the most common fillings. Typically served with curtido (think along the lines of Salvadorian sauerkraut) and some manner of smooth salsa.

I am homesick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not so bad, there is a good Salvadoran restaurant in Escondido, their Curtido and pupusas are second to none, and they always have Loroco.

Great shot Leighton. That style of shooting is idea for the wide angle lens. Beautiful colors
Ronny your flower shots continue to amaze. Gotta have your editing secrets
Chuong looks like a nice place and your work looks very complicated
Kevin wonderful shot, glad you were able to get the shot.
Laura very nice shots. I guess I need to part with my FA since I never use it
Scott I have really enjoyed your Williamsburg shots. The last one is particularly nice. The 16mm has such a nice color rendering.
Avi B I love the tall ships - very nice!
Peter the chess set is beautiful!

All,
For those interested, I have my mint F100 (and M6TTL ) up on the B&S. I'm not really shooting with it anymore as I prefer Leicas or Pentax 67 cameras for my film usage now.

I am beggining to fall in love with the 15mm 3.5 now that Nikon fixed it.

It makes ordinary landscapes somewhat dramatic

At risk of wearing you out, I will post a photo from some of the lenses I have used in the recent past, just want to show the breadth of enjoyment and images that using different lenses enables, lens name in the photo name, used prices range from $60 to $1800 and has no relationship to how good the photo will be:

Rafael, what a collection of images from a unique collection of Nikon manual glass! Post more!

While waiting for a cloudless night for a moon shot, I found a couple more images from the Reading, Pennsylvania World War II show.

Thnx, that is exactly the kind of advise I was looking for

Im searching for a somewhat wide somewhat fast manual lens. Of course the wider it is, the smaller the aperture. I guess a 20mm f2,8 AiS would be the best compromise between lens speed, angle of view and image quality.

Rafael, a wonderful mixture of shots using MF-glass!

Samy, the plane-engine looks really cool. Love the hood-ornament too.

Alan, sorry to hear that you're letting the F100 and the M6TTL go. A M6TTL was a gift to myself for my 30th birthday. It's a wonderful camera, I hope you'll get a good price for it.

Ray, very nice use of the 16/3.5 again! My personal fav is the last shot - the light works great, the ghosting is even enhancing the "sunny mood" of this fine image.

Avi, nice set from the sailboat-show!

Scott, I really like the last two shots of the latest Williamsburg-set!

Kevin, very cool and dramatic framing on the State-capital-building

Laura, love the T6-print!

Chuong, congrats to your new office!

Ronny, amazing work - as always!

Leighton, love the wide-angle-close-up flower. Shooting wide lenses at close range and at full aperture can lead to a unique look, your example is a good one ;-)

Thank you Peter, Scott and Ray for the comments!

Laura - I like the T-6, looks like the picture was taken the day it was built.

Zippy - A tasty Pupusa shot. Our vendor doesn't make it with the loroco buds. But they do have the bean, pork, veggie, and chicken varieties. They are the best addition to the market in a long while!

Kevin - Glad you were able to get out and shoot some, I like the contrast of the dome amongst the trees

Scott - More lovely shots from Williamsburg. I especially like the third one. The architecture of the place is really a sight to see.

Avi - Good to see you on here again, love the sailing series.

Peter - Nice sunset on the army!

Ray - I've enjoyed your images from Charleston, keep them coming! What a beautiful city.

Rafael - Ahh yes, I love the truck shot taken with the 50/2.
