Some more play with the PC-E 45/2.8D, I try to get a feel for this lens and it's capabilities.

The PC-E 45/2.8D is very contrasty. I have yet to check the corner-performance at different apertures, but it seems to be much better than the old PC 28/3.5 and maybe a bit less sharp than the PC 85/2.8D in the corners.
Handling-wise I prefer the older PC 85/2.8D. Distortion of the 45PCE is much lower compared to the PC 28/3.5, which makes leveling the camera more easy.
The feel of the focusing-ring is a bit disappointing - the PC 28/3.5 feels like a "real MF-Nikkor" in this regard, while the new PC's feel a bit more like an expensive AF-Nikkor.
