Well, it is Nikki reporting time. I'm a bit embarrassed to say that yesterday the 24 f/2.8 N.C. AI'd took center stage. Of course, when showing off a long coast, a wide lens will be better for the task than a medium telephoto. I hope folks will indulge me. I seem to remember there was some grumbling when Scott had the temerity of using a wider lens at the Kodak museum when Nikki was in his hands. Don't worry, Nikki will have her chance...
Taken with the 24 from an overlook above Muir Beach. During World War II the military installed large guns to protect San Francisco from invasion. There were three guns mounted at this location, though now all that is left are concrete enclosures facing the Pacific Ocean. But that was not what drew me to this location.
Another with the same lens from above the homes overlooking Muir Beach. We're looking south toward San Francisco.
And here is a shot from the same location taken with the 85 f/1.8 H.C. AI'd.
