Some more from the Forum at Pompeii:
Pompeii's Forum general view with Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 AIS by labecoaves, on Flickr
General view of theForum at Pompeii, with some remnant marble floor, temple of Jupiter at the centre and Vesuvius at the far background. I used a CPL filter to minimize the haze.

Forum's Colonnade before the House of Eumachia, Pompeii:
Forum's Colonnade before the House of Eumachia, Pompeii by labecoaves, on Flickr
A reasonably preserved collonade of the Forum, just before the House of Eumachia.
D7000 + Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 ais CPU'd, ISO 320, f/5.6 at 1/2000s. ~15% cropped.
Colour and B&W versions of the "Tops of Arch of Drusus and Vesuvius".
Though I am neither a B&W expert nor a PP guru (far from that!!), I think the trivial B&W reveals more Vesuvius details through the haze.
D7000 + Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 ai + TC16A (= 136mm f/2.8) hand held, ISO 320, f/11 at 1/500s.
The arch is just at the left of a Jupiter's temple column.
