Looks like only 36 copies of the 13mm 5.6K were produced - supply and demand I guess.

Thanks Georg, yes, the chess player was in harsh light. Took a few tries at exposure, then a bit more work in post.

Leighton, nice B&W portrait of the author.

Rafael, I like all the red but the blue encinatas pineapple flower stands out too, especially the closeup.

Ben, super use of the 24 PCE.

John, the Mariners screen looks bigger than the stands below it.

Ben , love the perspective of this monorail. What's the "Kodak preset" you speak of?

very funny Phillippe - interesting that I 'forced' you into a $300 lens and you forced me into 2 lenses that cost 10 times as much. One of us is obviously a fool. (but I like the shot of the taxi with the 180)

I got nothing - I rode out west today and took this on the way. It's not much - I'm only posting it because I like the way the Kodak preset came out.

ben

Ben, one of us is rich, that's all!
You make me laugh with your " I got nothing" while you post superb pictures. Man Ben you are what we call here a "Diva"!

Philippe, I can't help it - I just love your way to see and capture the world ;-) Stellar set above - Oppède-Le-Vieux must be a place where the time stands still. Beautiful village (except for the clay bear on the last picture ;-).

Georg, i can't believe you noticed such a detail ! You're right, what a bad taste ! Probably a Belgian invader !
btw love your local beach shot. You're a really talented photographer!

Thanks to Scott, Rafael, Philippe, and Samy for comments on my 28mm shots!

Really enjoying Provence (Philippe), the 20mm f/3.5 shots from Peter, Leighton, your spinning lettuce shot was great, and it's always fun to see Higgs, amongst others.

John, are you sure you want to let your 50mm f/1.2 AI-s go?!

Ben - very nice pic of the monorail. What would it look like "normally" processed?

Phillippe - love Provence. Have you visited Bonnieux and Gordes on this trip? Photographers paradise!

Leighton - so glad the snow has gone ( for now ). All the market and related shots are excellent.

Peter - very good work. One good thing about building with cardboard - it doesn't take long for it to disappear!

Thanks for all the comments with the geese and deer chase picture. The 105 f2.5 AIS lens held up well to the needs of the D800 in this session, and this was a fairly severe crop.

Peter, the first picture of this series is outstanding.

The camping trip (esp the pic with the starburst and tent) makes me want to pack up my backpack and hop on a place to the mountains.

James, love the detail in the 200mm micro shots. I placed mine up on the B&S board in March hoping to get some $$$ for the March Nikon rebates on some current AF lenses (I know, hang my head in slight shame), never got an offer high enough to let go. Can't say I regret keeping it, sweet lens.

Georg, superb efforts as usual. Even the starburst one you lament.

Leighton, salad spinner is awesome. Super job conveying the color and motion.
I also very much like the first "flowers" from the market picture, cateye bokeh and all.

Phillipe, the taxi image put a great big smile on my face.

Rafael, Alien Life 2 w[pineapple is a beautiful plant!

Resorted to faithful golden hour chase yesterday morning. Got a couple with MF lenses I like. Not terribly inventive I know :-). Today is rainy and dreary in northwest Ohio.

Both with the D800 and 50-135 f3.5 AIS. I find flare tricky to manage with the sun in the picture with this lens, thus the omission of the sun within the first picture. I have others of the same setting with the sun in the picture with the 70-200 VR2, so there has been progress in the battle against lens flare. I tried to work for some form of artistic flare and / or ghosting, but fast changing light at golden hour does not afford too much opportunity.

I left the flare spot in the second picture though it would have been trivial to clone out in this instance just to show the flare characteristic of this lens in this instance. Could not get a sunstar either, and I tried the whole aperture gamut including f32.
