I couldn't have planned it if I tried. I merely was interested in the newspaper, because I was reading a biography on Ben Franklin and decided to check it out on lunch break. The first person I met was the head of HR covering for his secretary. He gave me a personal tour, and tried at every dept to get me a job. (I hadn't even ask about employment) - next thing I knew I worked there.

Jim, that's quite a story, you have been in the middle of some history!
I came across the Kodak/Nikon DCS Pro 14N https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodak_DCS_Pro_14n about a year ago for the first time, and got hold of one, along with battery and battery charger. Did try it out for a few pics last year. It really seemed ancient but I am sure back then those cameras were quite a technological achievement.
I would like to share a few photo's I already made and uploaded last weekend, but have not shown here. It's been quite a busy week, so I'm catching up on a lot of stuff, but now have two weeks off from work.
Unsurprisingly, we went hiking with ANouk and the dogs.
Those are the most enjoyable times to lug a bunch of cameras around.
This time around we went to Tor 9 (or gate 9 in English) which is an abandoned military area with remains of a lot of airplane hangars and maintenance buildings.
This time I only brought the 55mm f1,2 Nikkor-S.C and the 300mm f2,8 IF-ED Ai-S Nikkor
This wall section detail was also shot with the 300mm f2,8, but I could not really find a good spot to get a better composition due to the wild growths consisting of brambles, thistles and other stuff that tried to hinder me at finding a comfortable spot
Lumi was wearing some "new" glasses. These are special dog glasses, made by a company called Rex-Specs. This older model seems to fit Lumi a lot better then the newer model, so we try to find a few of those older models to have some in stock. They do take damage frequently when Lumi plays around.

Some left over quilted maple (tiger, fiddle back etc) lathe ends for a rolling pin were the perfect material for a salt & pepper set. Over the last couple years the patina has become much richer. 85mm f1.4 ais
Buddy, Enjoyed the photos. Lumi looks so cool in the glasses. If I could train my cats to wear them - they'd be the coolest cats on FM.

Hmmm... Jim, YOU put the goggles on the kitties and we will watch from a safe distance. The pics have to be Nikon MF!!!
Squirrel head shots. D7200 with the 600mm f5.6 ais + TC-16a for 1440mm EFL. I think Squirrels are right up there with Crows, Ravens, and Dolphins as naturally smart animals. We play this game; I move the bird feeders, and they find novel ways to get to them. I modify their approach route, and they still find a way. Over and over, but I know they are getting more drastic. Some of them are now throwing their bodies at the feeder from many feet away and hold on for dear life. I catch them watching me from the roof through my slider, and even when I am shooting. Clever acrobats! I think I should make it a bit easier for a while.
