Question about fisheye lenses:

It seems that the 16mm f.3.5 is the most popular here. What about the 16mm f.2.8? It seems to be more commonly available.

People who tried both generally agree on the f3,5 lens being far better towards the edges (wide open as well as stopped down, where the f2,8 fish never appears to become completely sharp regardless of aperture)

Not much new from me lately. I bought Ani's 55mm S.C Nikkor. Things started out rosy, and I was really looking forward to receiving that lens, and buying a Df to use it on (not Ai converted and too good a lens to cut) but shipping became a disaster. Not from Ani's side, nor USPS, but DHL seriously messed up.

In the end we were both happy that after almost 3 months, the lens was returned to Ani. I really did not feel like picking up a camera for a while after that experience.

What it took to get back my motivation was a friends son sending me a Flat Stanley

The UD Nikkor got some fresh air as well

We took a trip to Dusseldorf to pre-order the new Sigma 135mm f1,8 Art lens. Not for me though. The focus ring on these is mounted backwards!

Quite obviously with the 16mm f3,5

Anouk celebrated her 0.5th birthday about 2 weeks ago. Book still unfinished

And last but not least, dispite some cold weather, snow falling down in other parts of Germany and a hailstorm we encountered today, Spring obviously makes it's way in to these parts of the world

Again with the 5cm f2 Nikkor-S
