First photos with a new to me GX7. A rainy day so I wasn't going past the garage but had to shoot something
I think I am going to have fun with this little thing.
Which lens next

Adam, is that 100 2.8E a Nikon MF lens?
If so what adapter are you using?

Same as Reagan, I too just bought a GX7. What a great little camera. Put it to the test of mounting a 300mm f4.5 nikkor Ais manual focus lens, and capturing fast moving trains. Here are the results. I am very pleased. The GX7 delivers sharp, contrasty images. Thanks for looking.

I am new to this camera. Any ideas what is going on here. This is a panning shot with the Panny GX7. ISO 400, 1/1000 sec, Nikon 300mm f4.5 Ais lens using an adaptor. Why the lean of the car and fence? Does this have to do with the electronic shutter? The camera takes great images in any other situation.
Thoughts anyone?

If you had the electronic shutter on this would do it as the total shutter time from top to bottom of the sensor is 1/30 sec or so even though each sensor line is exposed at 1/1000s or whatever you have.

I've shot some gymnastics with electronic shutter and found some weird looking legs and arms (i.e. bent at odd angles) when there was a fast, dynamic move.

Hi John
That is it then. I did have the electronic shutter on. Looks like I need to make sure i switch back to the mechanical shutter when shooting moving or action scenes. Thanks for the information.

Just picked up a 45/1.8 and trying out the out of focus area in the first one
I guess more practice will help
