Took delivery of my Samyang 14mm 2.8, a manual focus lens with EOS mount. I have actually ended up with two of these by accident. but anyway, if you are not familiar with the lens, worth looking at photozone evaluation of it. http://www.photozone.de/canon_eos_ff/532-samyang14f28eosff
I am waiting for my focus confirmation chip from ebay, mainly to program the focal length in to show on exif. I already have an acr profile for correcting distotion.
So far very happy. CA is nearly non existent, and its a very sharp lens. Here is my favorite spot.

distortion seems to be well corrected !

I hear good words about the new samyang range of lenses.

It can't a very good lens.
I can barely see Catalina

I too would like to see the EXIF data. Would love to compare a "normal" f/stop shot to an f/2.8.

this is shot. on 5d2, f 5.6, iso 100, 3 shot composite. the lens is know for having a mustache and fair degree of barrel distortion, which needs correction in architectural shooting. In landscape it just does not show, but I have an acr profile to correct it, and ptlens also corrects it. the reason I got the focus confirmation ship, is that I can now dial in the exif (aperture, focal length) . right now it shows 00 for aperture, and 50 for focal lenght. the aperture is also by a manual ring, which does not bother me at all.

it does seem like a very impressive lens, it could even be had on ebay with cashback for $356 delivered! for some reason i passed it by.... mostly didn't want to spend more now, but man that would've be some lens for some price.

that is a very scenic location to shoot

Love the color and clarity. I'm just starting off on landscapes, so I can't offer any helpful critique. But these are the kinds of shots that tell me what I should be strivng for -
