I also like the B+W Gary.

How do you like the 35 perar Carsten? It looks like a really neat lens, I kinda wanted one just because its so compact.

Went for a leisurely Sunday walk in my neighbourhood in East London - the light was great again.

Carsten - Love it!
Allen - #1 is such a cool shot. It makes me wonder what type of individual this person is with those crazy shoes.
Nicoimages - Very nice! That ZM35C is such a nice lens. Your PP style looks very M9-esque in these. Anything special of different you are doing? I know that lens is quite contrasty which may help?

Hello Gary

Glad you like them and getting the M9 "look" was indeed my goal when doing the PP.

The Zeiss lens is amazingly sharp and no extra sharpening has been applied apart from the default that Lightroom applies.

My PP routine is usually

a. import into Lightroom
b. adjust whitebalance/hue and contrast (not too contrasty at this stage)
c. sometimes apply Replichrome film preset (they are so much better than VCSO)
d. re-adjust contrast (try to not make it too contrasty at this stage) and individual colour hues / saturation / luminance
e. import into Colour Effex Pro 4 via Photoshop where I make any necessary dust and other minor cloning adjustments and apply "Pro Contrast Filter" and sometimes add the "Contrast Only" filter on top of it with a bit of soft contrast selected
f. tweak all settings again slightly in Lightroom until I am happy with the end result

Thread moves fast...

Thanks for comments and likes!

Carsten_R, some great B&W pics past few pages, love the tonality to those. Also like the color sherpa one.
Nicholas, lovely colors and composition to your street abstract shots, excellent! Nice find on that B&W "resolution test chart" on the wall!
Phil, great Mono shots, especially like the "Paris" one. So which one for you now? f/1.0 or 0.95? Also great smile @91!
Gary, the gear shot is superb! As for the color and B&W lamp shot, I slightly prefer B&W version.
Allen, I can "feel" your grin and happiness when you walk the streets of Chicago p874 #19 pic 3 (person with Sesame st. bag) is great, love it.
uhoh7, excellent shots of your daughter with the M9 & 28Cron. I think the 28Cron feels more at home on a real Leica body than on those Sony disposable cameras
Adrian, excellent set!
chuchkes, excellent shots with the CV40 1.4. Nice pp as well.

Mono, 28Cron

Gary, for me personal it's the b&w!

Great posts from everyone...sorry for not commenting more individual! But finally there is some cold weather in Lapland, therefore I am leaving for vacation on thursday or friday. Will be gone for 4.5 weeks and the time before leaving will be a bit short...many things to do.

Please wish me good light, hopefully I can share some good pics once I am back!

Posting for the first time in this thread, although, I've actually gone through all the pages. I've kept admiring (read drooling) over the spectacular photographs posted by all of you and hoped to get an M9 someday.
So, I acquired a used M9 at a decent price couple of months ago and a couple of lenses to go with it. It turns out to be one of the best moves in my photographic interest. Such a fine camera. I like the simplicity and somehow I can just concentrate on the photography. Its my most used camera in the last two months and now, I'm carrying only the M9 and a couple of lenses with me to my holiday in Rajasthan next week.

I had been to the SAP TechEd 2013 in Bengaluru last month and had used the M9 to capture a few moments.
All with the UC-Hexanon 2/35mm. BW with VSCO toolkit to add some grain.

I'm still learning to process the M9 files. Any feedback is genuinely appreciated.

The Perar on M9 or MM makes for a stunning IQ per volume, so to say... Believe it or not, with the Perar on my M9 I have been running, the shepherd for example was a nice find on one of my fitness runs with the M9 (have a fitting, small leather bag for this combo, and hold the cam in my hand while running).
Lens performance is excellent in the center, and good in the corners. On the MM, it equals detail/ sharpness of my 35 FLE in the center.
