Charles, the beach shots are all outstanding and the 75 Lux draws so beautifuly.

Joe, you make me wanna buy an S2. Stop it!

Katie, nice job! I love no. 2 with the silhouette effect.

Adam, well done in the nightclub set. Focusing must have been impossible. I love the last shot despite it being OOF, or actually because of that. Excellent moment and the slight OOF gives it a certain realism.

Onaujee, beautiful tonality.

CVickery, nice study in drawing style between various lenses.

Joakim, very nice in b/w and I imagine it would look even nicer in color

Jam, nice colors and clarity

Thanks Edward. I had my camera up, and she looked up and smiled, so I took one shot (don't know her), but it looked to unnatural so as I was putting my camera down she started to walk towards the bar and I snapped one more as I thought it was more natural, but at this point the camera was away from my eye and at chest lvl, and I snapped while turning the focusing ring. I took as educated a guess as I could in the split second I had. I think partly out of focus partly motion blur as she was moving quick. And my shoot from the chest composition isn't the greatest. But yes overall I thought it was much neater image then the one were she smiled at me.

BTW like the last shot with the apple truck. And the PP is very clean/clear.

Thank you very Gary, Edward and Jud
Gary, I love the landscapes! The 21 SEM is an amazing lens
Edward, wonderful set from the Bangkok streets! Last shot is my favourite.

Shot last at 6400 ISO with the M240 75 Lux at f/1.4, with Nik Define 2.0 ,no NR, just vertical debanding.

Very nice Jam, Edwards (that begging lady saddens me), Charles very nice very high iso shot how does define clean up banding? I have tried to do it but to no aval

Phil

M240 with Noct 1f, experimenting with high iso before my 2 weddings next week (of course I will have my dslr's with me ), the camera handles iso very well! I am a happy camper

Charles how do I clean up that murkiness in the BG? esp where the chair back padding is?

Thanks Phil
Jam, wonderful shots with the 75 Lux
Phil, with Nik Define 2.0, either open up in Lr or CS, and top panel "measure" or "reduce".
Choose "reduce". This will open up another two options: "contrast noise" and "color noise". Usually I set both of these to 0. You can of course experiment with these.

Next go to the arrow, "More", and click here.

This will open the section for debanding. Click on debanding and for landscape choose, horizontal, or portrait choose vertical. This is all I use. I try and keep is simple.

For my shot of the Cous Cous, I pushed the 6400 ISO, another 1 stop in Lr. If the blacks look murky, just adjust the black point in Lr IMO I leave the contrast noise if it is not objectionable as it maximizes the detail, and for printing you rarely see the noise.

I am finding the M240, is turning out to be excellent for higher ISO's, than I first anticipated with the latest FW update.

Thanks Charles, really appreciate it, the noise banding occurs almost every time I shoot wide open and export to JPG, the original usually doesn't have this issue, anyways thanks for your workflow Sir

Yes for sure Gary I will, like the R.I.P. rendering, I wish I had a Nikkor 5cm

Thank you very much Adam, Jud, Charles, and Phil for your nice comments!

Charles, your cat is an internet junkie? Very cute shot and not too shabby for iso 6400!
Jam, very nice bokeh from the 75 Lux.
Phil, yes that lady is heartbreaking. She has leprosy and if you look closer she has lost many of her fingers and toes Love the rendering and color of the blue bowl, and your grand daughter shot is so lovely.
Gary, great colors and the swirly bokeh is actually looking good.

Hello Leica lovers...

Really great image Jojo, she's sweet. :-)

I took off this week to shoot some color. How ironic would it be if this was my favorite shot of the week? . I stumbled upon this process option setup in Color Efex Pro 2, and really liked what it did for this image.

M9/35mm 1.4 FLE ASPH shot @ 2.8 1/125th ISO 400. No real reason I was on 400, honestly, I forgot to check my ISO today. sigh... I should shoot lower for outdoor work, but it didn't hurt me to much today I don't think.

A father and daughter walks down trail. They are Oriental. That is somewhat easy to see close enough... I had to size them up quickly before they got away. lol.

Missing so many pgs on this fast moving thread. Great shots guys. Hopefully, my 'like' can compensate my laziness for comment.

Haven't use M much lately. just like everyone else in this forum, Haven't come out of A7R mode yet

A portrait from M9 and 50lux ASPH, either f2 or f1.4, not sure anymore.

Thank you very much Gary, Joakim, Charles! Greatly appreciated!

Charles, I fully understand. We're both addicted to this place

JonasY, Love the way the leaves are rendered in your photo.

Joakim, nice drawing style of this Canon 35/1.8 and interesting bokeh wide open.

Doug, the b/w shot looks fantastic. Love the almost IR quality.

Zhangyue, beautiful colors and tonality as we have come to expect from you. I'm in A7R mode too these days, but trying not to pay too much attention until real samples are available at the local Sony store to play with.
