Jud, more very nice street captures!
Allen, I love when you have the chance to capture interesting portraits!
Gary, wonderful scenes! The 21 SEM is amazing for detail. When you look at the files at 100%, the detail like planes and birds is still there.

Shot last during the weekend with M240 50 Nocti f/1.0 and ICE lighting. 640 ISO but pushed about 1 to 1.5 in the shadows.

Allen - nice street portrait!

Jud - those are some very nice street shots

Charles - excellent portrait of the fiance. The ICE lighting is very nice

Once again, all with the 35 Summaron.....love this lens

Thanks charles.K, rsolti13.

Final two from that street set, both with M9-P. Again, any suggestions would be very welcome.

Thank you very much Ryan
Ryan, love the colours and PP'ing, particularly the first shot!
Jud, nice set!
Mitch, love the action of the last shot!

Different shot for a change! Fiancee's revenge. RX1R image while taking a shot with M240. As an aside, I am still amazed at the IQ from the RX1R and compares incredibly well next to the M240!!

Mike - love the shots from 21 Ultron...and what great color. I really like the latest VSCO film pack as well

Jud - interesting bike in #1, looks difficult to handle while holding a dog

Charles/Joakim - like the perspective from the females . Both the GR and RX1 are excellent cameras, the industry has come a long way in the last few years

Hmm, there is no EVF for the Ricoh GR only an optical viewfinder but I don't have that. I like the small size of the camera so I'm uncertain if I ever buy one even if the LCD has some real disadvantages in certain light situations

Ryan, nice set with the Voigtlander 35/1.2

50lux ASPH

And a f1.4 portrait

My son certainly have fun there This time in color, 35cron V1 WO at f2

Why I use classic lens? not for rendering, because they are still good tool with lovely build and handling, and most important they deliver.

Michael - great post! The one in the water is just awesome. The 35 Cron I you have, is it the goggled version? How is it on the M9? A pain, or is it just like any other lens? Minimum distance .7?

I have the 35 Summaron which from what I have been able to tell is very similar in rendering....just f/2.8 instead of f/2. It may be my favorite rendering lens I have, just would like to have f/2 for the times its needed

Congratulations to Mike Villa and his wonderful article in Steve Huff’s blog, “Going on World Tour with Leica, Voigtlander & Nikon”. I have been on Mike’s website and learned about the work he does with “Life without Limbs” which is discussed in this article. Plus we see more of his photos with his his Leica M9.

Those images are amazing (as is the story). I've posted a direct link to them here for those who are interested....

Yeah some interesting sights in New Orleans rsolti13 - first visit for me but I'm hoping to go back again in a month or so. Trying to put together a small portfolio of street photos before the end of the year - personal challenge for 2013 - and it is a great city for that sort of photography.

Mike Villa - thought your Steve Huff blog photos were incredible!

EVERY single shot on this page is gorgeous. Seriously. And even more so now that I have a new monitor! Also, upgraded to LR5 and think I'm going to love the new filter option!

Agree, Mike, you moved the stage here. You have the ability to capture the atmosphere which illustrated both here Leica thread and f1.2 thread.

Thanks Ryan, appreciate.

My version is goggled one, which I like a lot since it is bring up 50mm frame line. As mentioned, Rangefinder for me is a crop tool to crop the world, without seeing out side of frame, how? The goggle will reduce the contrast of VF and has some distortion, but doesn't affect me much. It focus down to about 0.6M or so.

Again, my personal view on both 35cron 8 element and 50cron Rigid are the same, I use them not for their rendering,(Which I don't feel they are very special on Bokeh, I may fail double blind test to spot them that I never will on 50lux ASPH, or 35lux R. * 35cron do have round Bokeh highlight all the way to extreme corner suggest its excellent coma performance.) but they reliably bring me good results at all aperture. they build like a jewel, handle with charm even after all these 50 years. Leica gained my respect from there more than now

I have the opportunity to visit the Sebastião Salgado: GENESIS exhibition yesterday at the Royal Ontario Museum (exhibition ends this weekend). I enjoyed the exhibition, but had some fun myself with the gallery and my M9 with the Summilux 50 ASPH
