Peter, those shots on page #741 are excellent. Can't pick a favorite, like them all

airfrogusmc, really like the b/w on #741, nice tones. the clouds are perfect for that shot

Cal, nice shots...especially with the CV 15. Where is that? Very neat looking hills. The M9 definitely has the edge over the GXR....good comparison

Ron, more great architecture! Like the angle

Edward, very nice portrait, I too definitely prefer the B/W

lenticular11, I have never owned the MM, but the M8 has always been my favorite camera ever used for B/W, and that shows it. I am tempted to pick up an M8 right now since the prices are so low and strictly use it as a B/W camera

Once again I'm hopelessly behind in comments, I've tried to use the Like button throughout. Been spending most of my free time renovating the backyard.

Been sitting on this photo for a while, due date is boxing day!

Congratulations Ryan! You son looks cute in his cowboy gear.... Did you use any special software to PP? I also have a few from the Stampede to post but I'm too busy with events this week.

Finally got my M . My first rangefinder, I'm finding it pretty hard to use at the moment compared to my conventional DSLR. Hope I improve soon though, this is a test shot to see if skin tones are ok. Will take more either this Saturday or next week.

Lenticular, very nice set, but the images look very flat to my eyes. I personally would have added tons of contrast in post
Allen, Rsolti, thank you!
Rsolti, beautiful colors and buttery bokeh from the Canon 100/2.
Ryankarr, what a wonderful set! All images are fantastic! My favourite is the last one.
Riakuma, congratulations! Colors and skin tones look excellent.

Only 2 days with the Sonnar 85/2, I am starting to feel this lens is not for me. It is too heavy at around 450 grams and doesn't balance well on the M9 even with the handgrip. I know this is not particular to the Sonnar as the Leica 90 AA weights and measures about the same. But compared to my previous tiny light weight Tele-Tessar 85/4, I would take the slower less high resolving 85/4. I think rangefinder cameras were not meant to be used with large lenses. I wonder how the M240 owners are doing with R glass.

When I handled the Prototype M240 along with the Leica Multifunction Grip at Photoplus in October I found that my 180mm f3.4 Apo Telyt and my 100mm f2.8 Macro Apo Elmarit lenses, though somewhat heavy, balanced reasonably well on the camera. Of course the combination does require handling the lens like on a manual focus SLR camera.

Ryan of Canada, looks like congrats are in order. How many on the ground now? .

Edward, I thought you were in love with that Sonar except for getting the focus fixed. Sorry it's not working out as planned. I rather felt that Rangefinder isn't meant for the long end as much either. I will probably keep my 90, because it's paid for, and was not an extreme investment. But I am not sure about going further. That money is probably better spent in glass for my Nikons. Plus pick up AF, which at longer distances, becomes a LOT more important.

rirakuma, did you do anything to adjust the colors in Lightroom? They look great to my eyes, while I always struggle with my Nikons... I am picky though.

I am definitely in love with the rendering of the Sonnar, so it might be worth it to get used to the bulk, but I suspect it will spend more time in the dry cabinet than in my gear bag.

Ryan, congrats! Great pics of the little one, I like the last two best

rirakuma, welcome, very nice shot to start off with. Which lens? The colors look great

Edward, I hope you don't stash that lens away, too nice of rendering to keep locked up

Myam I had to set my own white balance in Lightroom but I used the standard Adobe profile. OOC was way too warm as many already know that the M tends to err on the warm side with AWB. I didn't take many photos that day so I'm still unsure about the colors. I think that pic has "decent" colors, its not amazing like I've seen on many M9 pics but its a little bit nicer than what I usually get from the D800. Rsolti the lens is a 35 lux asph .

A few pics from the Calgary Stampede... It's quite amazing it even happened due to the extensive flood damage in the area.

I just got back to Los Angeles from Paris and am sorting through memory cards and hard drives, but there was a particular capture I really liked so I processed it and did a B&W conversion as well.

Great thing about having a Leica is that I saw this unfolding from 50 meters away and took off running to get the shot. While on the move I set my aperture, shutter speed, and prefocussed just how I wanted it. Well, I got there and got the snap in time, and was glad I did. Hope you enjoy.

Rsolti, this Canon 100/2 is a gem. Love the rendering. No. 1 and 3 are exceptionally nice.
Gary, you really know how to make the M240 sing. Beautiful colors and you captured some very nice moments there.
Tthorne, welcome to this thread, and what a fantastic shot! I think the b/w version has more impact.

Much appreciated! I agree, but then I feel I am so often biased towards black and white photography. It seems to reach me more often than color. The 240 is great for b&w, but having tried the monochrome, I do lust for one...
