Gary, the first BW one is great!

+1 I like the composition very much.
Andrew, another beautiful set. Love the color. and floating boat is my favorite too. simple and elegant. I will get a 80lux to get a piece of this rendering. Don't want invest anything longer into M system for now.

As for 35cron I have on hand are 35cron R latest and 35cron M first version. They are very different lens. 35cron R is a very modern lens and might be the sharpest lens I had at f2 in center. brilliant color and beautiful out of focus rendering. a extremely lovely DSLR lens IMO for the size, build and optics. However, FC is pretty extreme as well as coma, corner never really tight up, make it less ideal for picky landscape shooter. (I think it is just fine though.)

35cron V1 has very different.Rendering start from low contrast at f2. (I think it also not as sharp as 35cron R, though different platform) and can get top quality cross frame once stop down.(about the performance you expect from modern lens: say 35biogon) it is very sharp. I think I have posted several 100% crop from this lens over the time here. build is one of the best, very small. It got great reputation in Asia, especially in Japan for its cost no object design at the time. (the rumor said next version is reduce cost version, and never as good once stop down, which is true judge from MTF) But I have to say it is over rated and over priced that it doesn't have beautiful out of focus rendering as 35R or other better 35mm. Beauty is in eyes of beholder. I bet it will perform wonderful on film or MM. It will flare crazy if not careful for its original coating.

I don't want post picture since they are not at same platform and those expression are mostly got from the tons of images at all condition.

Thanks, I pre focus using the DoF scales on my 35 lux so I'm always ready when something like that presents itself.

Very pleasing tones. Thanks for sharing. That's why we call Leica "classic".

Great shots all!

Allen - perfect timing with the kiss and congrats on your upcoming show! The picture on the invite is superb! Enjoying all of your street shots from the previous pages
Michael, love that Savannah street shot with the baby and toddler in the stroller. Excellent pics of your kids and family as always. Those M3 shots almost look too clean to me, where's the grain
Andrew, those 75Lux shots are all excellent!
Phil, congrats on the Mono! Cute shot of your granddaughter with the 5cm.
Charles, those 75Lux beach shots are beautiful. Love the silvery lighting.
Ron, excellent B&W set with the 50Lux. That stopped down 75Lux shot of Toronto looks really sharp and nice with a somewhat modern rendering. Really like this lens.

-------
Daytona Beach, FL. I left the camera at ISO320 and pushed between 3.5 to 5 stops in LR4, so ignore the EXIF info as it was much darker. Banding was quite noticeable on some shots but overall I'm happy with the Mono's low light results. #4 slightly cropped.

Thanks for comments, guys. appreciate.
Joe, #2 is awesome.

Here are few from san francisco davies symphony hall several weeks back, I don't feel comfortable to confront with people, so I choose side :

all WO by 50lux ASPH and M9 with people moving at low light, I have to push about 1-2stop after capture so there are focus error.

Gary, thank you for the compliments and I love the composition of the B&W's on the previous page!

Taylor, thank you as well. 24SEM is the 24mm Super Elmar.

Ash, thank you.

Allen, thank you for the invite, I wish that I could make it. Best of luck with the show!

Love the second set!

Michael, thank you for taking the time to provide me with a detailed reply. That V1 is a very distinct lens. Your photographs have a beautiful tone! I am wondering if you have ever compared it to the V4?

Lastly, if I may ask you another question... How does the 35mm R Lux compare to the M version. I am assuming that you have compared them. Thanks Andrew

jojomon11, congratulations on the new camera!

Bruno, welcome back to the 0101010 world!

Joe88, Looks like a Harley fest! Great images!
