Indeed it was. I'm a car enthusiast, but this was the first race event I've attended. The noise ... oh, the noise!

I've been going since I was 9. My dad and uncles would go to the Sebring 12 hour race every March. This was pre-interstate and the drive down was grueling.

I got to see many greats of the era race - Stirling Moss, Phil Hill, Jackie Stewart, Jimmy Clark, John Surtees, Graham Hill, Jack Brabham, Mario Andretti (when he drove for Ferrari), Denise McCluggage, Jim Hall and Carroll Shelby.

'Swirling Seas At The Lighthouse'...
on a rainy, windy and very cold (40 deg) morning. Is it really Spring here in New England on April 23rd?
A one second long exposure to slow down the wave action.

LOVE this one, bob. The movement of the waves and the boat cruising past... good stuff. What lighthouse is that?

Toshiro I love your work man! It's seriously inspiring. I'm really enjoying your use of light and shadow to compose these dramatic frames.

I will add another one while I am at it. Different subject this time, and let me introduce you all to my lovely wife. This shot is taken with my favourite lens, the Zeiss C Sonnar 50/1.5. I have had this lens for about a year, and I have admired the rendering since day one. Not clinically sharp, but with "rounded sharpness" as Zeiss calls it. This makes it ideal for portraits, as the skin details are softened in a very pleasing and natural way. However, what I truly adore about this lens is the bokeh which I would characterise as smooth structure. You can clearly see the surroundings, but they are still rendered in a soft way, with no hard edges. And bokeh balls are always circular, all the way to the edges.

I can't way to try this lens on my future M3
