Yeah, but just a few

Buying and selling gear is almost just as fun as using the gear, right?

Got a very good offer for a Lux Asph., so then I had to sell my other 50s Gotta keep the wife happy!

That's what I do too. I'm never (90%+ of the time) taking money from my income to buy gear. It's my rule, if I want something new I have to sell something first.

I think about 2.5-3 hours including some adjustments, trying different film profiles... etc, so basically deliberately slow. It takes 2 minutes to scan a frame without adjustments.

Edward, I'm doing all my scanning with a DSLR now, and it takes me 10 minutes to scan 36 exposures at max rez/raw.
I've been getting better results than from any commercial service barring using drum scans.
It's also made film photography more fun for me as I'm involved in more of the process. A win win if u already have a digi cam to use, and I was getting sick and tired of paying $20+ per roll plus waiting 2 weeks..

There's a whole thread on it in rangefinderforum.com. And all the film shots I've posted on this site recently have been DSLR scans.

That would indeed be another excellent option. I think your dslr scans look great! It's more tricky to set up in the beginning but once everything is figured out, I have no doubt it works very fast.

OK - time to break the seal. Finally got my first few rolls back from developing and scanning. I have to tell you, I haven't been this excited about photography in quite a while. Working with film as a medium is super enjoyable for me. Not really because my photo's are any better but more because I really like the process. Shooting Leica is one thing and shooting film takes it up another notch. I don't want to over romanticize it but for now, it sure is a blast. And I LOVE my M4. You could say I am now p*ssing all my money away with film. With Tri-X 400...
